I've never done a lineman before, just curious- I got 25 blocking on my 2nd roll and kept it, is that unusually high or fairly average? I didn't keep rolling because it kinda seemed too good to be true.

I think I'll soft cap blocking at the 48.xx, then strength at the 48.xx, and work on getting vision and agility up a bit. I want this to be an especially good run-blocker who can hold his own in protecting the QB.

Let me know what you guys think!

That's unusually high, and a great roll overall. I had to roll my L4 center for about 15 minutes to get a roll not quite as good as that one...

Sounds like a plan. Some would advise you to just keep going on to the 60.xx second soft cap in blocking/strength and get vision/confidence up through training.

Don't forget some speed as you level up - the center has the best chance of neutralizing the defensive lineman and getting through to block a linebacker, which usually sets up a nice run.

How high should I try to get my speed, around 15 or so? Or higher? Thanks for the help!

It really depends... I think of it as an all-or-nothing deal with speed - either get it to ~35 to have the speed to make it to the second level before the HB, or ignore it.

This is of course a long-term thing, in the short term it's best to focus on the core strength/blocking skills.

For your guy
1.Get blocking to 48.xx soft cap
2.Get str. to 48.xx soft cap
3.Train Ag.

Is this a good roll for a Tackle?

25 on a basic stat is quite good.

If you are making him a special runblock, then soft his strenght first.
Also, vision is also a good choice to train and keep it at about same level as agility. I have seen many a MLB made to rush past the Center, so it's a good idea to be able to spot him and stop him when he comes.

Speed isn't all the important to the C. The HB rushing up the middle is most likely a power HB and can dive those few yards he needs. You state you want a Runblocker that can protect the QB, right? So focus more on stopping the MLB that will come blasting up the middle.
