Recently here at the RCT we have had the chance to talk to two amazing players in the Eastern Conference, Vodka Collins qb (agent Meldlm) and Siya Layter rb (agent drizzew).
Sitting down one on one with these two players i was lucky enough to get some questions off about their preformance and this upcoming season.

Interview with Vodka Collins! (Meldlm)
Hey Skit, I've included my answers below each individual question.

Skit*
1. you doubled your passing yards from season 2 to season 3 of your carrer. What do you think the biggest difference was that helped you get that accomplishment?

Meldlm*
I honestly think the increase in passing yardage had to do with two main factors. First, we started to find our identity as a team in season 3. The team was put together at the beginning of Season 2 and we spent a good portion of that season getting a feel for the game, our team, and what we were capable of and what we weren't. What we found was that we were a passing team at our core, and therefore our offensive coordinator let us loose and allowed me to throw the ball much more in season 3.

Secondly, I'd give credit to my wide receiver core. They all improved quite a bit from season 2 to season 3 and things like dropped passes and such really fell off. I've got a great bunch of wideouts on my team and I'm very grateful to have them.

Skit*
2. In a ranking released by Red Celtic Tribune, the New Orleans Fan Boys are ranked 5th in best offense due to the avg lvl player on the offensive roster. Do you feel good about this ranking?

Meldlm*
I do! I don't tend to think of the Fanboys as an offensive juggernaut. We're just a bunch of guys from a website that love everything football and we're just trying to make our way and have some fun. We'd all love to be the team to beat and maybe someday the Fanboys will get there. In the meantime, being honored as the 5th best offense is a great stepping stone to where we want to be, both in perception from the league and on the field.

Skit*
3. You are expected to post another 4000 + passing yard season again this year, with those personal accomplishments where do you see the New Orleans Fan Boys finishing at the end of this season?

Meldlm*
Our first year in the league we just missed the playoffs and had to play spoiler (which we did!). Season 3 we made it into the playoffs but got knocked out first round. I think that getting into the playoffs and getting our first team playoff win has got to be the standard this year. Anything less will be a disappointment for the team, and me personally. Everyone wants to come in and win it all every season, and we're no exception. But I think as long as we're making progress towards that goal, that's what's important.

Skit*
4. You threw 24 touchdowns last season which was second best. but yet it was another break through year for you doing so. With that said, What are your expectations for Vodka Collins.

Meldlm*
I have very little in the form of expectations for Vodka. I'd love to lead the conference in passing yards or TDs one year, but if it never happens I'm ok with that as well. Really I'd just love to keep having fun with my teammates and winning football games.

Now the interview with Siya Layter! (drizzew)

Skit*
1. Last season you posted 1551 rushing yards and 16 td's, very good stats, What are your expectations for this new season?

drizzew*
All of my expectations for Siya Later are team oriented. I expect the Slashers to win the conference and to compete for a league title. Since the Slashers excel at the running game right now I expect the league will notice Siya in the box score and also Maze Beverly and Cocktail Johnsonrod as a backfield trio that is ready to bring the pain every single week.

Skit*
2. In a Ranking done by Red Celtic Tribune, the Washington Slashers offense is ranked 11th on the list out of 16. in the Eastern Conference. Do you feel this is missed represented because of how well the run game was?
( the ranking is by average level of the offense. and defense.)

drizzew*
Too much attention is paid to levels in GLB and not enough is given to player builds and how specific builds fit into an offensive or defensive scheme, in my honest opinion. Other teams might have high level players that put up a ton of yards but don't score a lot of points and fail late in the game. I'm not too worried about where we are ranked right now. We are bringing back almost all of our players from a team that finished last season at second place in the conference. It looks like we might not get a lot of respect, and we'll just have to use that as a motivating factor.

Skit*
3. You have yet to catch a pass for a touchdown in your carrer, could this be the season that we see you not only run the ball really well but also show a double threat and become a passing option?

drizzew*
We really are a pound the ball down your throat kind of team. We also have one of teh best tight ends in all of GLB in Dre Perry. When we get close to the endzone we run the ball, when we go to the pass Dre seems to always be open. Maybe teams will start triple covering Dre and I will get some looks!

Skit*
4. You had a lot of fumbels last season, 14 all together, What have you done in this offseason to train and get better in this area?

drizzew*
I've trained some key areas to reduce the fumbles. After doing some statistical analysis I think our GM's have figured out where the problems were and we have worked feverishly to fix them. I'm considering using super glue on my playing gloves...

Skit*
5. Your team is ranked 3rd in Defense and 11th in offense in that Red Celtic Tribune lastest ranking, Knowing this what are your thoughts about how well your team will do this upcoming season?

drizzew*
Our defense is stout, from top to bottom. Our defensive coordinator Kurieg is a master at gameplanning. Our offensive coordinator Morid knows how to use a team to it's strength's and use that as a driving force to win games. Last season we were predicted to finish out of the playoffs before the season began. Through a coordinated effort we were able to outcoach many of our opponents and catch them by surprise. Because of that we have to work even harder this season because we won't sneak up on anyone.

We return so many of our players from last season, let me just say I like our chances!

Skit*
Thank you so much for your time. and best of luck to you and your team, and i hope to see you on those leader boards again.

drizzew*
You bet, any time.

Let me be the first to introduce the Red Celtic Tribune, where all your conference news, player conversations, reports and talk will be. Here at the RCT, we pride ourselves in giving the best stories from around the conference, and giving honest stats, with great opinions. You will be able to read some great conversations from known players around the conference and get the inside scoop for the new preseason power rankings, On behalf of the Red Celtic Organization and myself, I’m proud to bring you the first installment of the Red Celtic Tribune.
Preseason Scoop

Defense wins championships we can all agree on that statement, well because its true. The only problem with that statement is that here in the USA A#6 league Offense reigns supreme, Last season Washington Wolfpack won the Eastern Conference crown. During the incredible run to the championship they only scored 20 or fewer points 3 times, in a league where defense was never found, and offense was so dominate.

Last season during 127 games a 120 times if a team scored over 20 points they went on to win that game. That stat alone tells RDT that the Easter Conference will be tough to shut down. With so many blowouts last year and not enough 4 and outs, its going to be a problem for all teams to put that W on the board.

The first Power Rankings for the new season eat up kids. The power rankings are based of the average level for every team on each side of the ball. IE: I totaled up the levels on offense the divided it by the number of players to get the average level, same for defense. This should wet your lips a little bit as to who will do well in this up coming season

10.91 average level for the wolves offense? We don't even have anyone under level 11 on our team, I think you might of messed up a bit there. The average level of our starters on offense is 23.09, the average level of everyone on our offensive roster (contracts expiring on day 1 exlcuded) is 20.66.

I appreciate the rankings and interviews though, nice to see, just thought I'd help you get it accurate

Yeah, i am pretty sure ours is a bit off as well. I wont tell you what it should be because I dont want it to look like we should be the favorites to win the East(21.24 pre-s4 boost), just in case we dont win it all . I do think we are in the top 4 teams in the East though along with the Wolves, Slashers and Avengers. Followed very very very closly by the Badgers, Fury, Villagers, and Fanboys. I would also like to see LLLL turn their fortunes back around to be the very competitive team they were in season 2.

Btw ghost, great job in the offseason. Looks like you guys got some hella good players, the o-line is looking especially good.

Thanks Although I was really hoping no one would notice our improvements and we could keep rolling as a underdog

Maybe one day I can get you to tell me how you actually got people to respond to your PMs during recruiting. I felt like banging my head against the wall, so frustrating and I have 3 girls under 9. I mean, I sent out hundreds of PMs, half were left unread and 99% of those didnt respond. It's super hard to recruit if there is no back and forth communication. Anyway, we pulled it out at the last second, but not before I had to get some medication

I'll be happy to let you know...as soon as we are no longer in the same league

but ya, I think everyone runs into the problem of people not even bothering to open PMs and all that buisness, I know I had a lot of the same, seems like for every 10 I send, 8 don't get read, and I'm lucky if I get 1 response, positive or negative. My only real advice would be to try anything other then the actual players looking for team forums, those guys get their inboxes flooded within 10 minutes of posting a ad.

The latest numbers look much more accurate.

It will be interesting to see how builds and the new tactics come into play for Season 4.

Lets all get ready to start the new season! Here with a little stat info for you, during the inter-conference scrimmage games we saw some crazy things. First and formost we can all agree that Tecmo All Stars will not win one game this next season, and if they do *highly doubtful* it will big a bigger upset then the Dolphins over the Pats on Monday Night Football.
Tecom All Stars didnt even score one point in the inter-conference scrims, but got blown up for 243 points total.. WOAH!

Another thing that was noticable was the fact that neither the West or the East confernces had a dominate, dominate showing during the scrims.
Scrim Week 1 went to the West, The West beating the East 9 times out of the 16 games. All of which showed some close and blow out games.
Scrim Week 2 went to the East, The East winning 9 times out of the 16 games, most of which where close games, 7 of them coming as wins by only a touchdown.

So what does the whole Preasone Scrimmage Games tell us about this upcoming season?
One thing, there is plenty of talent on both sides of the ball up and down the roster. The West has a couple hot teams, *Mentone Beach Assault, Barbarian Horde, & Oklahoma City Strikers * that should continue to make some noise going into the season.
While in the East, *New Orleans Fanboys, New England Red Celtics, & Viridian Vanguards, well surley bring there momentum into the season as they won all there scrimmage games, and will look to continue the trend in a tough Eastern Conference.

Nice writeup skit. We had a bad preseason but they don't really count much. We were experimenting a bit and well, let's say we won't be doing what we experimented lol.
