Sorry.. this questions... it was posted in the FAQ's, but no one could give me any decent answer...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=673256

Basically,

I assume Defensive Chemistry affects the Defense's performance. Offensive Chemistry affects the Offense's performance. What does Overall Chemistry affect? Please don't just tell me, everything! Seriously, how/what does Overall Chemistry affect?

Excellent question!

I've oftened wondered myself. Do they use an aggregate of the Overall and Offensive chemistries to determine the impact upon the offense, or is it strictly Offensive Chemistry which affects the offense?

Also, what about K, P, and Special Teams units?

I know the answer!

It is a weighted average, with your in-game chemistry (on for example D) being:

(D-chemistry * 2 * (1 - percent_of_roster_on_defense) + team-chemistry * percent_of_roster_on_defense ) / 1.5

The number above is a 20% multiplier of your stats, so that if it is 100, you get a 20% boost, and if it is 0 you get no bonus.

Chemistry is garbage.

Chemistry is formed by winning.

It also seriuosly discourages making deals at the deadline to make your team better.

Regardless. Good teams win, bad teams dont.

Wow... so for example... Def Chem(50), Overall Chem (30), %rosterDEf (50)

50*2*(1-0.5) + 30*(0.5)/1.5
50 + 15/1.5
65/1.5
43.33333

43*.2= 8.6% boost on my Defense performance?

Is this the basic idea?

BTW.. THANKS for the two QUALITY EXPLANATIONS. Waiting all night and day for one on the FAQ's and nothing worthwhile!

Assuming defensive roster is 50% of total roster and 100% chemistry across the board, and that 100% = 1 and 50% = .5 ...

[1*2*(1-.5) + 1*.5] / 1.5=
(1*2*.5 + .5) / 1.5=
(1 + .5) / 1.5=
1.5 / 1.5=

1

Which is 100% times .2 which equals 20% boost.

[edit]
Got it on the second try!

I think it's a damn fine guess, as guesses go.

So a would a performance boost be ... and I'll give an Role Playing Game analogy...

If my HB was running and was being tackled by a LB... He rolls a 10 to tackle me, and gets an 8.6% boost, so his role is increased 0.86 for a 10.86. I roll a 10 to break his tackle (I know it's not this simple) and get a 12.5% boost, so my role is increased to 11.25... I BREAK THE TACKLE AND ON TO THE NEXT GUY...

I put it in this situation because I know the Simulation works off programing (numbers)... so would this be somewhat accurate?

LOL!

As my wife would say ... "I not only married a geek, I married a Star Wars geek"!

All I have to say is ... "Who's the bigger fool, the fool, or the one who follows the fool"?

BS, GG signed quite a few FA's before the playoffs.
