And its not even all that much seating! The Vikings have more seats than the Coyotes. I think the Marauders have more seating than the Coyotes to.

It's not about the seats. It's about the sections.
He could add seats during the regular season if he really wanted to.
Sure, he will have fewer fans, but he's paying less in salary.
What he should do is sign a bunch of level 1's from the D-league. They could get playing team and the team would save a bunch of money on salaries.
ETA: neither the owner or the GM's have any players on the team. I wonder if they really have a plan?

Yeah, i'm not really sure what the plan is either. On one hand like you said its good to have a stadium, but I think i have around half of the seats he has, and I'm pretty sure i'm selling my tickets for 2x what he is. Not to mention that he wont get any kind of potential playoff revenue. Not sure if it's worth having a terrible team for
