Hot off the press of GLB:

Christopher Avery, the unsung owner of the Washington Gladiators, whose uphill battle with taking over the USA AAA #2 (Eastern Conference) pro team, right before the first away game against the Pocatello Punishers. Today he took what many will believe to be a step in the right direction.

Mr. Avery has agreed to puchase the team and will now be the Official owner for the next three, count them, THREE SEASONS!! To the delight of the loyal fans, they are already snatching up season four tickets, and are in awe the new team name and logo.

Chris Avery started as a no-name agent, assembling some of the best and brightest players to set foot in GLB. Owners and players alike took notice of the quiet giant's demeanor and passion to leave it all on the field and wanted him to become a part of some of the best teams and greatest minds in the game today. Avery soon became a key figure with player development and coaching, which lead to becoming a GM of playoff and championship teams.

But Mr. Avery saw something more. He started to see the aura of the gridiron slowly decaying away from what was most important in the game, and that was the excitement and enjoyment to gather different walks of life from around the globe to come together and form a bond that only comes from the electricity that is Football.

It was by Fate that evening, when he received a call from the former owner of the team, explaining to him there was several canidates he considered to take the helm, asking if he would be interested in taking ownership of the team. Right there at that moment, something told Mr. Avery the time has come to tip the scales of balance back from chaos to order.

Mr. Avery , or Chris which is what the down-to-earth owner prefers to be called, had this to say on this unprecedented
event:

"Its an honor, and a privilege to be a part of this organization. I have seen the players on this team go through adversity, trials, and hardships only to find a way to still give it their all and more. That alone is the reason why I refuse to give up, to show them that together we can accomplish anything, and take this team to new heights."

"I know we are in a very competitive conference, and I tip my hat to the teams we have faced from week to week. But heed this warning: What doesn't kill us, will make us stronger, and when that clock ticks to that last second of the game, The final ruling will be decided by...CAPITAL PUNISHMENT!"
