We've been gaming together since '90-'91 or so (And some longer than that)

In 1991 or 92, (I think that is the correct year) there was a game called Multi-Player Battletech on the GENIE network. It was one of the first real time online games out there that had graphics, and was a ball to play (CGA graphics based on the old PC game Mechwarrior). The Bloody Clans started as a group during that game (well before the Clans became part of the Battletech universe), and we have a total of about 60 members, some alot more active than others.

We all became pretty decent friends, and when we tripped over this game, about 20 of us decided we'd like to give it a shot. Right now we have a total of 21 different owners who own players across two different teams (plus a few walk on teams). And yes, a couple guys have rather large stables of players.

We came out of BBB#16, which is also a tough league and a great group of guys, so we are seriously looking forward to knocking head with all you folks.

Wow, I wish I had known about multiplayer battletech. I was a huge battletech nerd when I was a kid. I read the novels and I loved Mechwarrior. I don't remember which game it was, specifically, but I played the hell out of one where you worked as a merc. You could negotiate contracts with any clan, buy a stable of mechs for your squad and recruit other pilots to go on missions with you. I think it was just called Mechwarrior ... I either played it on my Commodore or Tandy. Nothing beat my Marauder with twin PPC's and two LRM6s. It had jump jets and a gatling cannon in case something got close, which they never did. Not sure if I'm getting all the terminology right; it's been a long time.

Yes it's very nice to be here. For the most part the forums on BBB#16 were great and we really enjoyed contributing there. I'm hoping we can find as cordial a home here. Thanks for the welcoming words.

It's almost unreal to us in TBC that we've been together for almost 17 years now and are still able to stand one another. Well...usually.

I never could stand any of you guys. I'm just too lazy to find a new clan.

chuckle.. and that guy is our kicker....^^^

And he wonders why we give him a hard time on our BB...

Oh sweet jesus...battle tech..really?!? people still play that...just giving the new guys a hard time
