If your contract is ending soon, I strongly recommend finding another team to go play for. There is no point in playing for a team that just wants to throw in the towel since you are all striving for the same thing, a Championship. Whats the point in having a great regular season record if your owners/gms want to piss it away.

And guess what else... Your NOT going to win it next season either because the competition will be even better....
Then what...
I'll tell you... your WISE and ALMIGTY owner will sell the team and there will be a SUFC fire sale... now you just wasted 2 seasons on a losing team.
WHAT you said 16-0 losing??? YES LOSING you didnt win when it mattered ask NEW ENGLAND about it...

I don't care what their players think, if they stand for this they are trash anyway. They will dump you once they get better players and don't give two craps about the team. Nice way to be the best.

Worthless players that don't deserve to be on a good team then.
I'm sure any player that doesn't aspire to be the best can stay on your team.

I don't care what your players do. You are undermining a game in which no matter if you go 16-0 next year or 8-8 in a league above, sooner or later doesn't matter if you move up. Way to be scrubs and not true winners. You guys are pathetic and this is a shame that something like this can be done. You guys don't understand no matter how long you wait the next level will always be that much better. That is why they are the next level. Live and Learn instead of giving up and you might be suprised.

If I may interject...
I see this as an attempt to avoid a constant cycle of winning/losing seasons for our team. That is, we would have a winning season in this league, move up, have a losing season, fall back down, and have another winning season. Does this sound like a good idea to you? It would certainly make for a very unwelcoming team to be on, would be quite poor for morale, would hamper any good rivalries that we could get going in whatever leagues we would be in... you get the picture, I trust.
Also, "You guys don't understand no matter how long you wait the next level will always be that much better." That is quite false. I'm sure you've noticed that the higher level your player is, the less XP he gains. In short, our players are getting better faster than theirs are. While AAA is 5 levels above us this season, by the end of next that lead could be narrowed down to 3, a much more manageable disparity.
There is a phrase, "discretion is the better part of valor." There is, generally, no sense in fighting a battle you are sure to lose. Honor and glory and all that, you say? There is no honor or glory in being stupidly foolhardy. Challenging a windmill to a jousting match is not, to most people, glorious or honorable. Those who say otherwise are widely regarded as nutcases. Again, I'll take a different view from you, and say that rather than simply giving up, this is akin to a tactical withdrawal from the battlefield. That does not imply that we won't stand to fight another day.
I don't dare hope I've persuaded you to see things from our viewpoint. However, I would hope that you can at least understand this different perspective. Two sides to every coin, and all that, eh?

First of all, our players are probably the foremost reason we ARE a good team. So yes, they deserve to be on it.
Second of all, we ARE the best. We had a perfect season. We lost to our closest competitor by merely 3 points, and that was while we were THROWING the game. A trophy would have been pure formality. Admittedly, any team can lose on any given gameday, yadda yadda, but if we had lost, let's face it, it would have been a fluke. To forestall the inevitable Giants/Pats retort (which I see has already been used), just because the Giants beat the Pats in the Superbowl doesn't mean they're a better team. It doesn't make Eli better than Tom, or any other odd comparison that you may draw up. It just happened to be that given Sunday that everyone always talks about.
The Pats were the best team in football last season, and to think otherwise because of a single game (that many say was only lost by a miracle on the part of the Giants) is foolishness. Winning the Bowl was just a formality for that recognition. A costly formality to lose out on, but a formality none the less.

throwing the game my ass and you are NOT the BEST you LOST....
if you had lost....uuuummmmm you did lose you idiot...
and to be the best you have to beat the best and as of right now the NEW YORK GIANTS are the best
do you really think that you will be the best next season.... that my friend is a grave misjudgement on your side, you will be lucky to be in the top 4 next season... mark my words you and your team are done for...
also if this is a team decision why is it we have not heard from any players we have only heard from the owner and 2 GM's.... sounds like a team decision to me...

Shameful that you feel you and your players deserve this. You only undermine yourself and the league. Obviously the lack of confidence you show in your team winning at the next level, is well pathetic. I don't care about a 1000 word english essay with objectionable facts. In fact, their is only one thing wrong with your team, and that is the poor poor sap as a Owner. This is a comical joke to me because I feel like you guys think you will have an advantage by staying here and "gaining experience". And you "perfect seasons" will continue. Your comical you really are. To think you will gain 2 levels on the competition above in one season is well stupid. This is not my fight, but you are a sorry sorry person for thinking these acts are somehow intelligent. Why the hell aren't more teams throwing games? WOW, now there is a thought. Their must be a lot of really stupid Owners out there and 1 really smart one in SE AA #2.

We're not coming back after next season. that's where you're wrong. what you're team did was ignorant. we might have a losing season the first year, but we wont finish last. AND we are already up there!!! you're taking a chance that you will win this division. i'll do what i can to prevent that by bringing my players into the division if i can. if i cant, someone will step up and beat you. im done with this thread. ive got AAA shit to do.

Well if they threw the game to stay down here they are fools. I've seen people move up a division and win the next season. A team did this in South America AAA. They won double AA the season before. If this is true then the owner needs to grow a pair and i hope you lose next season. You had a full season. I would even frown upon this if it was a new Canadian team who only had 8 games plus the playoffs did this.

I'm sorry guy, but you really have no faith in your team. To suggest you would just go up to AAA and get beat and move back down to AA is just lack of faith from the Gm's. BLPPirates came in and dominated AAA in their first year. They had faith in their team and showed it, now they are going Pro, and they still have faith in their team. BLPP has balls, you don't. The team I'm on in AAA just formed last season, it would of been easy to throw the games in AAA to move down to AA but we had faith in our team, won what we could last season and came back as a playoff contender this season.

Thanks for the props to the Pirates, DG...the P-Funk All Stars are a class act.
I agree with you 100%. As well as Psweet has tried to make his case, he is mistaken to assume that they would a) not succeed in AAA, at least to the point of not being sent down the following year or b) that they will actually be in the same position next year in AA. And frankly, if b) did come to pass, they would be moving up into an even more mature league...late. To think that they will gain any MORE experience on teams by staying in AA is foolish. Their players will be ready for retirement by the time they made any ground on higher league teams under this strategy.
You become the best by playing the best not by continually dominating lesser competition. It is unfair to both those doing and being dominated. It really smacks of cowardice more than planning...they are afraid of what will happen next year in AAA so it is just easier to stay in a lower league.
We can talk about 'strategic withdrawals' all day but at the end it boils down to courage and confidence. No man knows enough to be a pessimist and I, for one, would rather give 100% and lose than a half-effort based on the supposition of an unknown future.

I'm sure any player that doesn't aspire to be the best can stay on your team.
The unfortunate downfall of this well read statement is that a good argument requires intelligent and rational discourse from both sides. This barely sentient lynch mob clearly didn't have the brains to coach an 18-0 team in a noncapped league from a starting QB and HB that started at level 4; they sadly cannot absorb your rationality.

Sorry, fella. Losing in the conf. champ. round is not being the best team. It makes you the third best team. Whether it was cuz you threw the game, stupid gameplanning or just being outright beat, you are still only the third best team. Meh, I just think it was stupid gameplanning after reanalyzing stuff and watching the game film.
No, winning the SB didn't make Eli better than Tom, but it does mean that the Giants were the better team that year. 16-0 doesn't mean nothing. A SB trophy means everything. 18-1 means the greatest choke job EVER. {sort of like what happened to ya'll}
I still think you guys are to scared to move up though. It's evident in the post you fellas make. "Oh if we went up we would of lost and moved back down". What faith you have in your team and your gameplanning capabilities.
