The Frankfurt Crusaders Defeat the Bow Street Runners 36-6 Led by an amazing performance from Sherman McNabb and your MVP Stone Gossard. McNabb caught 12 passes from the slot and just had a field day running around with 232 yards and 2 huge touchdowns. There was never really any question who was going to win this game, as Frankfurt took an early 16-3 lead at the half, and cruised to victory in the second half. Lets not forget to mention the stellar defense from frankfurt, holding your league's runner up MVP Marco Wanderlei and Bow Street's amazing running game to just 48 yards, 134 yards total! Even despite the fact that Frankfurt also was held to just 62 rushing yards, they passed for 515 and dominated the Bow Street secondary.
Overall, good game Bow Street, we hope to see you at the next level in a few seasons, or maybe in the pro league in a few more! And best of luck to everyone else.

Berlin Storm Troopers, here we come!

Hmmmm. "Was very much in doubt until just after half time" I think is much more likely...if our QB doesn't throw an INT and our secondary give up a bonehead play in the last minute of the second quarter (that one play was wrong in just about every way, and actually made me very angry...what on earth are the safeties doing? Why isn't our entire secondary and LInebackers giving a ten yard cushion AT LEAST?) and its 9-6 Frankfurt at the half.

Those two big pass plays were what decided the game. It made me sick seeing that happen. The difference was Frankfurt made three big plays and we made none. I'd give far more props to your D for completely shutting us down. I don't think Gossard was anything special today - a lot of yards sure, but he had 58 attempts!

I don't want to sound like I have sour grapes, because Frankfurt were worthy winners...but lets not pump up the glory boy egos more than they already are.

Yeah i wouldn't really say your passing were anything special, as it was our mistake for having that CB still in the depth chart.
Your defense however were great, as you did even more PD than us, and did stop our rushing also.

Thank you boys.

I agree the defense had an outstanding game. It was touch-n-go until the TD before half.

But...that's been our game. Big plays from the passing game.

And you can bash Stone, but most important stat from him? 0 INT

Good luck next year.

Not bashing Stone at all (apart from my irrational dislike of players named after members of Pearl Jam...I LIKE Pearl Jam as well...well, their first two albums anyway).

You're spot on that having 0 int against our D is huge. However I think his performance was far less of a factor in your win than the absolutely outstanding defensive display. Even that Int just before half time looks like a terrific read by the FS. The D bought Stone time to build up the big numbers.

hey Frankfurt congrats! eventhough your passing game was "nothing special" (jesus christ some people never learn). nice job you did what the patriots couldn't do, a perfect season.....way to go wire to wire. I'm not here to stroke your ego (or anything else for that matter) but to the victor go the spoils. maybe we'll get a shot at you somewhere down the line. maybe in another season or 2. until then good luck and go get em in AAA.

Great performance by Frankfurt, particularly in stopping our passing game. The turnaround from what should have been 9-6 us kicking a simple FG to you scoring a monster with 2 seconds left in the first half was game over.

Glad to see you gone, you've bashed us every single time we've played.

Both the Ringriders and the Bluebirds landed 5th seed first season after promotion, so I'd say you guys have a good shot of jumping straight off as a playoff contender next season. Good luck to you guys.

Oh yeah... haha.

Well, we'll warm it up for Cork too. It may still be hot in 3-4 seasons...
