For those of us not in the race for the trophy....

to the Oklahoma Steelers: you guys going to try to win/take the game like a regular season game(pretend that it matters)? Going to try some different tactics then i usually do, but still try to win.

We've been treating these scrimmage games like they count the whole time.

We haven't. And won't. Time for our backups to shine. They played Manila close

Sorry but we take winning very seriously. Scrimmage games are time to polish up and practice new strategies. Not time to move around your depth chart just for the fun of it. What's the point of that?

If Xp's were involved, there would be a point in starting backups.
Since there's no XP's there is really no reason.

If you're not playing this game to win, then you are a complete loser. And probably gay.

well the steelers dont seem to want to play a serious game, how about firestorm?

Must not take it too seriously if you're playing scrimmages right now rather than meaningful games. I like winning too, but when it matters. We play our backups to give everyone an extra reason to watch the games and keep everyone interested. There may not be much of a reason to play the backups, but there isn;t much of a reason not to play them. I promise you're not going to learn much about your team by scorching our third stringers for yards on the ground and air.

Exactly. We view this as an opportunity to test out some new concepts that we may be able to use when the games ARE meaningful. And before you get cute about us losing in the playoffs, take a look at our record, who we lost to, and by how much. We were VERY competitive this year. And we hope to use these scrimmages to work the kinks out of our offense, since that was our achilles heal this season.

LOL... good luck getting meaning from your gameplan when you're playing against backups! Hehehehehe
