NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders has been camped out all week in Las Vegas at the Treasure Island Casino in hopes of catching a glimpse of Madden's superstar QB Rocket Elway. For reasons unknown, Mr. Elway has been seemingly invisible and unavailable for comment all week. The typically loud mouthed QB seems to be taking the quiet approach into the playoffs. Is this a sign that he is planning on doing all of his trash talking on the field ?

********** NEWSFLASH **********

Deion Sanders just got word that Mr. Elway has just arrived back at Treasure Island after spending the evening down at the Elvis-A-Rama Museum. Deion caught up with Mr. Elway while he was on his way back to his suite.

Deion Sanders "Rocket ... do you have a minute for a quick interview?"
Rocket Elway "No Comment"
Deion Sanders "Can you give us a quick rundown of what it might take to beat VEGAS on there home field ?"
Rocket Elway "What happens in Vegas stays in VEGAS"

Deion Sanders "Well folks, there you have it. Short and sweet. Time will only tell what Mr. Elway meant by that statement"

Goal Line Blitz is not affiliated with the NFL or any other professional football league.

Thats from the bottom of every page on GLB. So I don't quite understand why an NFL analyst would want to interview your fictional GLB character when the 2 groups have nothing to do with each other.

While Vegas remains a relatively quiet team, not making much noise or boasting too much, sources say they have a certain confidence going into the game. An Undisclosed source has reported that killin time has been licking his chops waitng for a few more ints, "rocket elway, more like rainbow elway, I may have to call for a fair catch with some of his throws." Sources close to the team say VEGAS feels Rocket is overrated, red tank said "take away the donaldt game and rainbow has 21 td to 26 ints. how can you be considered in the coversation of elites with those numbers? I just hope he tries to throw my way, I love batting down passes."
While this promises to be a closely contested game, there will be no love lost between the two. As Bull Durahm so elegantly said, "I have great respect for Madden's players, they are talented and a worthy opponent, but their owner is a loud mouthed Jerry Jones wannabe. If he was a native american his name would be Walking Eagle, cause he is too full of sh*t to fly."

In all seriousness, GL Madden and heres to a good game.

Interview by Christian Okoye, resident GLB beat writer for the Nigerian Times

Okoye: You play football really good.

Rocket Elway: Yep, yep. I like to throw the ball, its fun.

Okoye: I like to play football, too.

Rocket Elway: That's good.

(random heckler) Yo, Elway. That Menace defense is going to kick your ass. You suck, when you get to Chicago, you're going to know what pain is all about. They don't play up in the Windy City.

Okoye: Is that a friend or family member?

Rocket Elway: That was my high school coach. He is still mad my Dad paid the starter's dad 50 G's to transfer out of the district so I could start.

Okoye: Money is bad.

Rocket Elway: Preach on, my brother.

Okoye: Tomorrow you play the Menace, are you ready?

Rocket Elway: We're playing the Menace? Aw crap, I've been watching the wrong film all week. (yelling to a man wearing ball hugger shorts and a Rocket Elway T-shirt) Dad, bring the El Dorado around, I've got to study for the Kingz game!

Okoye: I hope they do kick his simple ass.

Deion Sanders is still puzzled with Mr. Elway's comment after the VEGAS win.
"100 in a 55"

After extensive research, Deion seems to think that this is a reference to a song ?

Something else that might be of importance is this other song by the same band !

That band sounds awful. Can't stand country and combining it with rock is a terrible mix.
