In the midst of all this GG/Porto/AX talk... let's talk about the *other* conference...

#7 Dublin Shamrocks at #3 Normandy Invasion

The Shamrocks have beaten Normandy once before; can they do it again!??!!?

#4 Polk High Panthers at #1 Bergen Op Zoom Sneaky Buffalo

Polk lost in a game that may have been closer than the score indicated, but can anyone put up points against this team?

Polk FWIW I think you have a great chance if you play your cards right.

Dublin beat us in game 3 of the season. We still didn't have our team together. It will be a far different game this time. We will not lose!

If Dublin comes out firing and wins again, damn, they upset their way all the way to the conference title game

Since this is a start-up league, in my mind I am forced to throw away the first part of the season as a settling in period. The real tests are now during the playoffs when teams have matured and those initial level differences are no longer as much in play. It is a second go around where you can base you plans on real first hand knowledge. Any of the teams left can fall flat and any can step up and win. Only the sim can tell us which combination of attributes and strategies is better than the other.

Next season, I would be surprised to see 15-1 records in either conference.

As for what happens in Game 2 in the Zeta conference, I couldn't begin to pick. They will be two exciting games to see unfold and that is what makes it worth logging in.

As the DC for the Shamrocks, I have to say that the biggest thing I hope to see (aside from us winning) is none of the stupid scores, i.e. 73-0, 45-3...crap like that.

We beat Normandy 17-10 in a ballgame that could've went either way, those were two very different teams back then, so way I see it, this is again, anyones game.

I wish them good luck as well as our two counterparts in the other semifinal game.

Sorry, we are redirecting our offensive, the Irish have insulted Roosevelt, so they must pay for their insolence!!

Seriously, Derrty Harry is one tough sob, has me nervous = ), you guys earned your way to this game, I am just glad we get to host it to get more $$. Good luck to you and trying to break my defense = )........

THIS JUST IN- from the desk of the owner of the Portuguese Men-of-War:

Bergen Op is really friggin good.

Seriously, we had been coming together, and playing winning football over the last half of the season (6-2), and we really thought we had a chance to upset the apple cart. We threw a new wrinkle at BOZ, something I'm sure they hadn't seen, and they just crushed us.

Anything can happen...but those guys are loaded for bear!

To be fair, today our DC's hair is white; yesterday not so much...
