It does make sense but I think you're giving the Polar Bears too much credit.

I have the Sundowners vs the Assassins in the finals.

I'm looking strictly at stats, and I put that together quickly... I'm sure I could look much more in depth at match-ups and stuff, but the Polar Bears' record doesn't show off their performance. They got that 7-1 with one of the toughest schedules, probably toughest among playoff teams in the West. They lead the West in TDs, scoring offence, and passing on the offensive side of the ball, and they lead the West in INTs defensively.

7,10,2,15,5,12,13,9 = end of season rank of the Polar Bears' opponents.
Not even close to the toughest.

3,7,4,5,13,6,8,5 is a tough schedule.

Wow, thanks for the shout out Nano but we have our work cut out for us and our offense has not exactly been lighting it up the past 2 games. The KC Rams are probably the toughest first round opponent but hopefully playing in the North Pole will give us the added advantage to advance to the next round.

I'm picking the Maulers coming out of the West. They earned the right to be the favorite there. The Assassins I guess are the pick de'jour for the upset loss. We'll see what happens when they face their first big match up.

The East will be Vikings/(Sundowners/Marauders). Flip a coin.

Would love to meet the Assasins in the second round. They haven't faced a singel good team this season. If they win against us. Then so be it. Then they've proven that they can beat good teams. But as for now I won't give them a lot of credit for their 7-0 schedule so far. But If we in the Polar Bears are going to play in the finals we better get our offense going.

Much appreciated for the vote of confidence, but it's gonna be a rough road. We open with an overlooked Gator team that had a tough schedule, and gave us a game early in the season. We're a MUCH different team than we were back then...but I'm sure they are too. We're just concerned with getting out of the first round right now. And we're not sneaking up on anybody anymore either...

That was a pretty great game the first time around...I'm sure it would be that much better if it was for the Western Conference crown.

Quick list of teams that I would not be floored to see their in our stead:
Rams
Knights
Assassins
Gators
Badgers

Sorry Outlaws, you're kinda the lucky guys to be here.

(But yeah, my completely unbiased tournament sheet comes down to the Polar Bears and Maulers in the West, Vikings and Sundowners in the East...though the Marauders could sneak in there.)

I was gonna use my newfound animated gif skills to create a new avatar tonight, so fuck it, I can jam with that for a little bit.

Man oh man - you guys are a lot more confident that I am. This KC Rams team is good and are going to be very difficult to beat. I think the West is much more wide open than the East - I would not be surprised to see multiple upsets in the 1st round tomorrow.

Seriously, the only team that should be sleeping easy is the Knights. But not that easy, they dealt us our only loss, and if we get by Ottowa, we care going to be crazed for revenge.

Kinda like you guys and us, if we get that far.
