One thing I'd like to get off my chest before I start. Not a lot of feedback from my last column, well SCREW YOU AFRICA you lot wouldn't know a "football" if Slappy Babyfist mauled your mother and planted one in her womb so that she gave birth to a bouncy baby football 9 months later. You bunch of soccer loving ingrates I would say that I hope you choke on your steak, but the last time a steak was seen in Africa, Sally Struthers was the one eating it. There now that that's out of the way:

Often times as I'm pondering what to write about only one thing comes to mind; namely the Cairo Centurian's and what a genius coaching staff they have and what far superior players that their roster is composed of. Then something like the debacle against E'ci happens and my entire world is, to quote Will Smith, "flip turned upside down."

How could such greatness be derailed by such a far inferior opponent? The world may never have the answers to questions such as these, but luckily for the world, I Pauly Kang, am here to shed some light on the events of a few days ago.

I have heard recent rumblings out of Cairo ,as I sit with my ear planted firmly on the door to their coaches office in one of the most marvelous locker rooms in all of Football, that there may have been a strategic leak amongst the Cairo low level staffers. Seems that E'ci was able to plant a SPY amongst the many poor underprivileged youth that Cairo owner Willm graciously takes in and employs as interns, water boys, and ball boys for his team.

This act if true, and I'm not saying it is, is deplorable in the least and I implore the league to seriously look into this matter. That something like this could even be thought of in the Africa Football Association just curdles my stomach. Action must be taken against any parties responsible for this heinous crime.

In the end we all know that Cairo should have won that game but sadly the record books will never show it as such and my favorite team's hopes of an unblemished season are forever crushed upon the cruel rocks of football fate and treachery.

That's it folks, I can't write any more of this, just thinking about the corruption that is rampant in this league makes me sick, I can't continue for fear that I might give myself a 6th heart attack.

I'm not gonna say that something like this is true.

IF it is, then its willm's own fault for signing a player like that, and its his own responsibility to remove them from his team.

Well done. But why no man crush on Cairo's QB? Someone has to fill the Brett Favre/Tom Brady role. That's one of the 10 things I think I think should show up in a later column...

EDIT: And guess what? The real Peter King hates the real Freddie Mitchell! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/peter_king/02/13/mmqb/index.html

Our Spy Eci Mceuen did good work. But alas his cover was blown. This has Valerie Plane CIA scandel written all over it.

"I don't know what a first round bust is, I think that's society" - The real Freddie, on Eskin's show a month or so ago

I give him credit for 4th and 26 and his press conferences/radio appearances. When you look at the numbers, he's probably not even one of the worst first round WRs of the past decade. Picking a WR in the first round is a crapshoot.

Hopefully DeSean has a better NFL career than the Sultan of Slot did.

I'm an eagles fan too... looking forward to seeing a D try to handle westbrook, booker, Desaun, LJ and Curtis all on the field at once... thats a lot of speed

I think Booker was such a steal; he's perfect for our offense. Great hands so he's a weapon on screen passes. Celek will be good down the line as well. He's deceptively fast and can get open in the middle of the field.

I'm really excited about Celek. I thought they would let LJ go and give him the start after they signed that backup TE from the Chiefs. I think they only franchised LJ to give the kid another year to develop, unless LJ has a big season. I'm afraid of Jackson, he's a little small. He had all of his physical stats padded through college. The gave him about 3 inches and 10-15 lbs. extra!!

Same, but your sentence above is an understatement.

However, I'll never forget 4th and 26. THAT was one hell of a play!

No reason not to franchise LJ; we had the cap room for it, and Celek doesn't get thrown into the fire before he's ready. I thought LJ might be let go as well but why not give him another chance... I like Kris Wilson; he can catch and block, and he's from Pitt which is an added bonus. Celek and Wilson will be a nice combo when LJ is gone.

DeSean measured in at 5'9" 169 lbs at the Combine and if he wants to be as good as Steve Smith or Santana Moss he will need to add a TON of bulk. I'm very skeptical of the pick, but if he can get to 180 lbs by adding pure muscle without losing any speed or quickness, he should be OK. I wanted Sweed because he's a red zone threat, plus Demps apparently outperformed Jackson as the punt returner in minicamp...

I think Desaun will be good, he got humble real quick when he dropped so far in the draft. But talking on a more important note... if Lito can stay be happy... I'd like to see any receiving core try to walk into the black hole that is out shutdown corners.
