It appears Ace Cannon is on the run from the law for steroids abuse, dealing, and possible links to mob-crime boss in is home town. He has been in hiding since late June and was not available for comment. His teammate, M Webster, commented "I've known Ace for a couple seasons and had no idea he was involved in any use of illegal performance enhancement. The fact that even in his absence he still leads the team in pancakes is just a coincidence." Also missing is his agents other player on Spicewood JJ Cash. His whereabouts is also unknown.
This could be a portion of the issues Spicewood has been dealing with this season, and may be directly related to the dis-appointing season the Longhorns are suffering through.
