What is your financial standing? Over here the Shark Tank is looking good and with two home games left it looks like we will break the $20 million barrier. I think we could buy level 48 equipment for our entire team right now.

Is a team better off in the long haul (4-9 seasons) not winning a champ the first couple but dominating and cashing in? Sucks not to get promoted, but dangling 4 skill points with a 2 year contract is a whole nother story.

yea we're (the raiders) gonna have a tough time with equipment because we haven't hosted any playoff games and won't again this season. makes me wish we could get relegated. because this conference isn't gonna get any easier.

What do you consider wealthy? I think the Squirrels will end with about 11mil this season before ticket sales, which will of course go into the Stadium.
We got the maximum a team can get for the first season, and it's probably going to be sufficient for quite a while. I'd say that home playoff games are good, but getting them again and again only really puts you REALLY far ahead of the curve. The Squirrels won't get any home playoff games this time, but we'll be fine for money.
I think all you need is one great season to jump ahead of the upkeep increases.
I think there are two "worst" scenarios.
One is that you don't win enough games to build fan support, but don't lose enough to get relegated. You know that without some sort of miracle, you're probably going to remain where you are and suffer for a long time.
Two is that you win just enough games to get into the playoffs but not get any home game revenue, and then by some freak accident you do well enough to advance to the next highest league, where you get stomped on and become like scenario one.

I think you are sitting pretty with 11 million. Most the teams I am on have between 6-9 million. The Sharks are kind of just a really good situation. The owner ran the team really well from the beginning and we got lucky with good playoff seeding last season that really helped us out a ton.

Well, my guys all accept the league minimum as well, which helps. I pay for the equipment, though, so they have nothing else to spend it on.

We're able to afford level 24 equipment so far but we're far from wealthy as some of you guys are. Most of our players are not our own so we pay competative salaries to everyone.
We're doing everything we can right now to come up with a gameplan to beat the Bolts in our next game because a playoff home game is probably on the line there...and I know both the Bolts and the Wildcats can use the money.

Not much of a head start though. I think we were 1-4 or 2-3 and missed the playoffs. We took out a loan I think and got a corner or maybe? two corners built was all. I think the biggest mistake was the new teams not building immediately and taking out a loan. I believe that to have been an understandable oversight.
We were talking about this in forum, but we still have a few players from that abomination of a CPU team from which we were purchased. Yuck.

I think the playoff money is out of whack with BBB teams making as much as higher league teams. My only underthought suggestion is a possible construction discount to teams not 'in the money' that have been toiling in league for a season or two. I believe it makes it more equitable without creating any parity.
Like discounted construction price yet limited seat construction for that season in that new discounted stadium construction.
