1. (1) Montreal Maniacs (6-0): Cambridge didn’t pose much of a threat to the Maniacs, but they did expose a potential turnover liability. Montreal expects their #1 ranked O to dominate as the #10 ranked Sactown D comes into town.
2. (2) Yukon Silent Pwners (6-0): The Pwners came out this game with something to prove, and they showed they have the #1 ranked rush O and the #2 ranked rush D by holding the dangerous Maelstrom Rush O to 57.5 yards rushing. The next test is even tougher as they visit the #3 Sentinels this week and their #5 rush D. Something will have to give.
3. (3) Alert Sentinels (6-0): In the game of the week, the winner of Alert vs Yukon could grab the #1 seed, so there’s a lot on the line. They own the #4 ranked Offense and match up against the #3 ranked Defense. M.P. Hayes better be ready, because if he can get a ground game going, he could lead his team to a victory. But that’s easier said than done.
4. (4) Manitoba Wild Boars (5-1): It seemed like Phil Blake was celebrating int the endzone all game long after scoring 5 times. But that was expected. The Maelstrom won’t be as easy of foe as the Roosters. But Blake looks to take control (#3 Rush O) against their #10 ranked Run D.
5. (5) Cambridge Thunder Cats (4-2): A stumble last week against a top ranked Montreal team. The Thunder Cats look to turn around Norfolk’n Way’s win streak, but they will need that #10 ranked D to come to play and their #15 passing game to contribute to their offensive game plan.
6. (8) Norfolk’n Way (4-2): Looking to break into their own after a gimme last week. Expect their #6 Pass D to keep Cambridge’s poor pass game from doing anything, but their pass game (#4) will have just as big of a challenge against the Thunder Cats #2 ranked Pass D.
7. (7) Sactown Rage (4-2): A win here will do wonders for this team’s morale as we near the playoffs. However, their #10 pass D will need to rise above their ranking to make this a game.
8. (6) Lake Michigan Maelstrom (4-2): A blowout at the hands of Yukon sent Maelstrom down the charts. This week brings an extremely challenging opponent in Manitoba. Their #1 ranked pass D will need to cool the Boars #2 ranked pass O.
9. (9) Peterborough Goons (3-3)
10. (13) Toronto ShenaniganZ (2-4)
11. (10) Niagara Parrots (1-5)
12. (14) Albany Mohicans (1-5)
13. (12) Cardiff Cougars (1-5)
14. (11) Boston Knights (1-5)
15. (15) London Roosters (0-6)
16. (16) Saguenay Heat (0-6)
