Anyone have advice for a good gunner build?

I'm assuming a CB makes for a better natural gunner than a WR.

Speed and tackling, AGI and VIS.. probably some STR too I would imagine.

What about SAs? First Step. Change Direction and some Super Vision? Would Closing SPeed help?

If not a CB, who would make an ideal gunner other than say, a BU FS or SS. A BU speed-rushing DE?

I would not put a CB at gunner spot. Probably SS or FS, someone who can create fumbles. That is where fumbles most often occur because return man that are CB's usually only have 15-18 carrying and you can get easy fumbles. Strength is going to be kind of important for that. Vision will help a LOT. Speed of course. Tackling shouldnt be overly high. Im kind of on the fence about high agility of not.

Well in real life I thought SS was gunner. Maybe even LB or FS. But yeah GLB isnt real life. But I would still lean towards those 3. SS would probably be perfect.

Thanks for the advice, gentlemen. We've got an SS at one of the gunner spots, but looking for our other gunner. Wish we had another BU SS

It can be an LB, too. Larry Izzo of the Pats made several pro bowls for perfecting the ST position.

The Fresno Ninjas have a player who's as good a gunner as i've seen:

DE: Bumming Man.

Massive speed build.
