This week we feature the G-Vegas Pirates (6-6, 9th place) vs Casablanca Bogarts (8-4, 5th place)

What makes this game so attractive is that G-Vegas is in a 3-way tie for the last spot in the playoffs with 2 winnable games and 1 game against a team tied with them (Tanzania). Casablanca meanwhile is still in the hunt for the 4-seed and home field advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
We think G-Vegas has a few too many holes to dominate this game, but they have enough talent - we especially like their LB and CB combo as a team - scattered to make life tough on their opponents.
Casablanca's fullback Alstott is underrated in this league. He'll buy Flacco the time to allow him to find Spooky Electric open, and Spooky will end the game with 6 receptions for 100 yds.
Although this is G-Vegas' desperation game, we think Casablanca's going to control the time of possession. The upset could happen, but we don't think it will. Casablanca 27, G-Vegas 17.

And I must say Go Lumberjacks!! You can beat the Cheetahs!

holy crap; Shutemdown had EIGHT passes defensed. I was right in that Spooky Electric would have 100+ yds receiving, but they completely shut down the Bogarts in every other phase of the game. 5 turnovers by Casablanca did em in; and still the difference was a missed FG by the Bogarts' Xula, because they kept G-Vegas out of the endzone all game.
This was definitely the game of the week; great win Pirates.

grats pirates... I'll admit this was a bit heartbreaking... we'll hopefully be seeing you in two weeks to decide who gets in...
