Read this suggestion:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=515650

It's by tpaterniti.

The idea is to reorganize each region's teams by level each season. The upshot of that is, if it were to occur, the teams in WE A Leagues would be split up into probably a good 20 different leagues or so.

And so far there seems to be some support for the idea.

I'm in favor of the way it is now so people can get to know each other and rivalries can be formed over time. It looks like a lot of the support is coming from owners who cant recruit and people still on the waiting list or dont have a team at all. It looks like if this guy gets his way every league will be dismantled at the end of each season. WTF was the point of picking the region you wanted just to be shipped off the next season.

I really wish there were an owner/gm forum to discuss stuff like this. im sorry im ranting. i just think this is the most horrid idea and makes me question this guys ability to be a mod. smells like a power trip.

If you guys would like to keep your leagues intact i suggest you make your voices heard. thanks. b_bur

You'll always have the haves, and the have nots. There are teams out there with many players that can't boost, and those that pretty much everyone can.

Now, suppose everything is re-aligned by level, then day zero, everyone on a *have* team boost 3 levels. The have not team, loaded with crappy builds, maybe 50% can boost.

This will solve nothing.

I'll tell you why it's going to be done...

It's because some of the teams...there are TWO of them in Western Europe #4 in the Zeta Conference...have owners that own every single player on their team because they bought the Hall of Fame package. I don't even consider those two "teams" as teams. That's why the leagues are going to be getting redone...to weed those teams out and put them with others that are the same way...

Jay, who cares about a handful of teams that are owned by one hermit owner? There are thousands of guys who play this game, don't restructure hundreds of leagues to get a handful of dorks into one or two leagues. That makes absolutely no sense.

If this happend it would make in league competion better, but I don't see putting 16 crappy teams in a league so one of them can win a championship being the right thing to do. Why punsih the owners of teams who have gone out and spents days putting together a team to compete just to be thrown in a league where everyone else did the same. Is that not punishing the ones who tried? I am all for getting rid of the
240-0 scores but, is this the way to do it? I think the way to go is give the teams that finished in the cellar some extra money to help rebuild the team. Kind of like getting the first pick in the draft. With that money they could bring in players to make them more competitive. I have enjyed playing with the teams in WE 6 and look forward to playing them again next season. Unless we move up. Still a possibility. I would hate to start next season looking at the schedule and not having a game to look forward to. We lost to Rosklide 16-14 and I want revenge.

I'm one of those hermit dorks that owns most of my team, and I'm not exactly setting the world on fire. This hermit dork, does not have the time, or *the buddy's* to recruit top notch players. So I make my own, and I'm 6-6.

What about the hermit dorks that actually have the time to recruit the players, and the 8 GMs they bring on board, that bring their players on board, plus their friends players?

Come up with another plausible argument, because this one is full of holes.

I have no buddies whatsoever on this game and I built a good team. If you don't have time to fill your team on your own you need to find someone who can. I hired two people I didn't know and they have worked out great.

Until I read where Bort says, "the reason why we're doing this is because", I'm not buying into any speculation. It may not even happen.

Good for you, for being fortunate enough to find a couple good GMs. I went through GMs, like I do my socks, before I settled on a couple guys I can trust. They're both rookies at game planning, but they're learning.

I'm done trying to recruit new players for this season, as I've probably sent out at least a couple hundred contract offers. I'll start back up in the off season, and turn my GMs loose in the recruiting game. If I can replace one of my own with a better player, I'll do it in a heartbeat.

I sent out a hell of a lot of contract offers myself. It isn't easy bringing in a new team. My whole problem with this is the possibility of changing leagues each year. I think it would hurt the game. Could you see the NFL change the divisions around each year to make them even. Or college football changing around conferences? I know this isn't real football but, building rivalries is part of the fun.

Exactly. I want to play Stockholm, Brussels, and Rome again next season. I want my revenge. I'm sure the Irish Car Bombs want theirs on me.

I can't see this happening. The whole thing we have at the moment is because you get promoted and relegated, therefore getting to be the best team in your region.

Anyway, Levels do not make a team good. For instance, we have a Level 8 OT on our team, thats the same overall as out Level 11 OT. So, to reorganise based on Levels is awful.

I seriously doubt this will happen.

A guy offered me a trade the other day for a level 13 OT. Rejected the offer, and told him no thank you, my level 10 backup was better.

It's the problem with boosted guys, once you start getting to levels like 13, they're about the same as a standard level 10 guy, taking into account the extra training bonuses of lower stats etc.
