So you weren't cheating... you were TESTING. LOLOLOLOL!!!! You couldn't do your testing with a level one player and a volunteer team owner?
Seriously, if you are looking for a PLAUSIBLE excuse you need to keep it simple (and not give the reason you cheated -- "so we can get him back" -- in the excuse).

Wow. We play them next. Guess, we'll have to figure out a way to cheat. Anyone want to send a player to be on our team for one game... while we "test" to see if it can happen? We promise to trade them back.

Many of us hope this. Sadly, it seems that the devs and admin take a pretty relaxed view towards cheaters. If you would like this kind of thing to be taken seriously I suggest you do like I have done and write to Bort.
