Is there a way to reset a casual team to a non casual team or would I have to buy a non casual team?

Can't be done...you would have to buy a non casual team.

At the end of this Season just sell your casual team and buy a CPU team(non casual) at whatever level your players will be at for S122 and then sign all dots to that team. Just make sure to do this during the grace period so you don't effect the chemistry of that team from where it was when you bought it. When purchased it may reset to 77's, but then again it may not. Don't know how GLB deals with that anymore TBH. However, if you don't have experienced Coordinator(s) lined up and cannot do it yourself you may want to rethink that move.....just sayin'.

if you end up doing this, buy your new team BEFORE you sell your old team, because there's a cooling-off period after selling a team, I forget how long but it's not trivial.

I don't think that's true any more. I sold a team and bought another the next day.
