What do YOU ALL think of air fryers? I work a lot, and eat a lot of fast food and micro-waved home meals. But my co-workers swear I'd love an air fryer.

What do any of you like about them? What do you use them for? Are they basically a microwave on steroids?

This is a new model to what I have which is an all in one type of thing. You can use the meat thermometer to cook steak to whatever you like based on the temp of the meat or perfectly cooked chicken. Then I use it to cook asparagus or other veggies as well. Can also cook mozzarella sticks and other types of food like that

I can cook frozen moz sticks in seven minutes. Fuck yeah it rules.

"Air Fryer" is simply a marketing tag for a convection oven, which have been around forever. That said, I love ours. I put a frozen Jamaican patty or egg rolls in it, and they're done perfectly crispy in 12 minutes. Microwaves heat things, but leave them soggy. If you want crispy, convection is the way to go.

I’ve started making wings in the air fryer. It’s definitely a top 3 way to make them.

Definitely gets foods much crisper, and usually quicker. But most have a small basket, so you can’t make a lot at once.
