Can anyone remember what steps need to be taken with an AWOL owner. Seems like if they were gone 14 days you could PM support and possibly assume ownership possibly??

It's a support issue, which means it's a Discord issue and I vaguely recall it being way longer than 14 days.

Also you have to be a current GM, not any random dude dot, and I believe the option is to release the dots for those that don't qualify.

Not sure if that's still the case though. Definitely hit up Discord tho, instead of talking into the Void of support messages here.

I also thought after 14 days missing you could get that done?

Yes Im sure it came up a few seasons ago ... As far as I know IF you were a current GM you could buy the team after 14days although LA is right as I think it was 30 days originally
