I’m a bit OCD when it comes to my dots having numbers and now the NFL has changed the rules so most players have freedom to choose whatever number they want (apart from offensive and defensive lineman), I ask that the numbers on dotball reflect the same rule if possible

Not a big deal but I quite like seeing DBs and WRs wearing different numbers and stuff now.

I like this. I remember back in the day that QB John Hadl wore number 21!

For 6 of his 10 seasons, Otto Graham wore #60 at QB

"Graham is regarded by critics as one of the most dominant players of his era and one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, having taken the Browns to league championship games every year between 1946 and 1955, making ten championship appearances, and winning seven of them. He holds the NFL record for career average yards gained per pass attempt, with 8.63. He also holds the record for the highest career winning percentage for an NFL starting quarterback, at 81.0%"
-Wikipedia

In 1952, the NFL set their number ruled until it was recently changed. 100% thumbs up for OP!

Number changes sound great, as long as I never have to see another quarterback wearing number 98 like Devin Gardner did at Michigan.

Great idea! Allowing position players to wear single-digit numbers would add more personality to the game. Speaking of football, have you tried [Retro Bowl](https://retrobowl.me) ?

Sammy Baugh wore #33.
To be fair, Slingin Sammy retired as the Greatest QB, DB, and Punter of All-Time when he hung up the cleats. A different era to be sure. However he was the standard bearer at QB, until Johnny U came along and became the Gold Standard
