what is the best day to make a new dot?

There's no new "best day", any time starting on day 40 up until day 0 will result in the same thing now.
I suppose day 40 is the "best" if you consider that it gives you the most time to use the TPs, SPs, set tactics, buy CEQ, boost, etc until the season starts...

Well it's only supposed to be 8 days now. Days 41 to 44 and Days -4 to -1. Last off season was a little longer because of the holidays. Not sure why we haven't rolled over yet this season.
