tactics calendar set and team set to run an offensive AI with a X but still not activating?

in the TACTICS CALENDER tab, for the game you want, you see the name of the OAI you want to fire?

yep

its set yet still using some crappy Basic AI

if you're playing scrims and you've set the MY OPTIONS default AIs, that could be a problem for any new quick scrims you're setting up. When you schedule those quick scrims, the AI that'll be used is whatever is shown in the MY OPTIONS tab (you find that tab by going to your Team page, then look bottom left where it says SCRIMMAGES and next to it is FIND OPPONENT.. click that, then click MY OPTIONS)

It'd be crazy if MY OPTIONS tab and also you see the name of your OAI in the Tactics Calendar tab match up and it still doesn't fire

team sharing activated too. it's some glitch unless im missing something

If copy AI doesnt play its probably a glitch as you say

Is there an (!) next to your OAI or within the OAI?

If you are possibly referencing to plays from Craw, then 1) you must copy your OAI to team page so it has the right agentid+playid reference to trigger the inputs and 2) make sure the respective agent provided access to the team as well.
If you are using your plays https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team_create_offense.pl?play_id=0 for your OAI https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team_ai.pl?team_id=0 and it still causes problems, then maybe check if you have some default playbook activated which basically bans the usage of custom O plays and forces generic plays to be called.

Check the team plays/my plays in the packages... If using wrong one it will say invalid play
