I have not had a rookie team since the dotapocalypse. Is there a reason to do or not to do Promotions during Rookie year?

If you plan to keep the team for a long time, you usually spend the Rookie money on stadium construction and buying seats, instead of spending on promotions. If you only plan to keep the team around for a short period of time and don't care about the stadium, there is nothing wrong with doing promotions in Rookie.
