My rankings last preseason were basically perfect, so let's have another run at it! Intelligent commentary agreeing or disagreeing with me is appreciated.
1. OPT: Reigning champs. RC is a genius. Eventually someone should RNG some playoff upsets against him.... right?
2. Asau: won in s106 and come in 2nd in s107. This ragtag upstart team with no-name coordinators and poor EL somehow locks in the #2 ranking
3. Sno Cats: Rumor has it, Wise won't throw 48 INT's this year, and the #10 ranked D should improve in DC year two, with a few more fun dots incoming. Just for the record, Sno was my Preseason #3 last season, and made the final 4 with a competitive loss against the eventual champs OPT.
4. KC Comets: Team was my #4 rank last season and finished 4th, so I guess I gotta put them at #4 again? They have the #4 OC in GLB (Craw) and the #3 forum power in GLB (Playmakers), which makes them a dangerous duo! It's worth noting they failed in their goal to lead the league in INT's, which is the true achievement of a great OC!
5. Hood: My preseason #2 last season tumbles down the rankings. Hood are a team clearly capable of winning a ship if they get hot in the playoffs, and Tomcic is one of the two OC's still active (along with RC of course) truly deserving of legend status. Dangerous.
6. Florida Frenzy: God RC teams scare me. Not sure how the Frenzy demoted to Pro, but in the Pro playoffs they outscored two other CL Promotees 147-26. Protip, don't throw INT's vs Frenzy (I'm looking at you VC!, and the mirror...)
7. Tempe Venom: Yes I am gonna put my flag in the ground and predict the Venom make the playoffs. Does having 90 vision receivers and I'm sure all sorts of other weird stuff make you a CL playoff team? Sure, why not!
8. Brothers In Arms: Masked Singer Mauler was a bad week 16 away from demoting 2/3 teams out of CL. Instead BiA who's gone 9-7 the last two seasons stuck around. Apparently they will go 9-7 every season forever?
9. SWAT Team: 8-8 team just barely made the playoffs. I just don't think the clone of Mauler has it in him and something has to give.
10. Jersey Showboats: For the love of god can we not allow 4 RC teams to make the playoffs? RC, please let Pwned coordinate again!
11. Cherokee: Cherokee will be competitive but CL is so darn tough...
12. LMSTTDs: Remember last season when London went 1-15 but fought tooth and nail through every game, being a few plays away from a magic underdog 5-11 season? Well this won't be like that, and I unfortunately predict LMSSTDs to have a very rough ride. If you guys somehow win a game my hat will be off to you and I'll admit I was wrong and your coordinators are beasts...
