After two seasons of CL, i definitely miss the pre CL two Pro league format. Everyone was part of one forum and it seemed the excitement and trash talk was at an all-time high when there where two pro league's

Making d34, d36, d38 pro internal playoffs and d40 a champion vs champion game for the CL.
He can re-shuffle the pro league teams after each season.
Benefit would be that great teams don't miss 80 days of Plateau for a chance to reach the top competition in Plateau.

But yes, agreed of course, I and half of GLB felt it was better in my poll. Unfortunately the only way this gets implemented is if there's a very strong consensus and then you hope Bort listens. With the community split 50/50 there's basically no shot.

Sometimes, but it hurts. Count me in as someone on board with that structure. Just getting the big guy to make any changes seems to be the hard part.

Yes, bring back the fun times. This game was awesome again for a minute..

we also need to keep in mind the plateau tier is still growing.

it won't max out for another 4 seasons.

it probably will make the most sense to have 2 Pro leagues, with the 2 championship games sending the 4 teams up to CL.

AAA will probably stabilize a bit, but will depend on how many teams survive the growing years without resetting.

AA will be the wash-outs with however many leagues and CPU teams they need every season--it should constantly be growing and shrinking.

Perhaps introduce a new poll reflecting the maturation of this new generation/cycle of the life of GLB, in terms of dots and Gen2 seasons that we've now experienced. There is not near as much speculation now, as we've all walked the plank as well and soared the heights as it were. Gen2 has actual data so to speak, rather than just guesswork.

I think it would be more beneficial if leagues did not reshuffle. Would help build rivalries like the old regional Pro leagues before the WL was invented, and help reduce the inevitable support shuffling. But then certain teams would never play unless they met in the Bort Bowl. Thats why I liked the idea of one large Pro League similar to AFC/NFC in the NFL.

I never thought too much about format and have just been happy to talk smack and play the game for a long while now as it usually takes minutes a day and is a fun little distraction.

That said, i love this idea of one large PRO League of 32 teams. Make the tourney the actual Champions League instead as the cream will rise to the top of the tourney to compete for that title.

Would be a worthwhile change in my opinion. We have capable teams from AA to CL right now so without question, 1 large league is doable and could actually bring some passion back to the game. I guess the only caveat is will be very tough to win GOLD trophies against the elite teams but who cares. It's the battles that matter not the little gold gif.

Could always change it back if it was a disaster.

If someone wants to make a poll then try to present it to Bort, they are welcome to. I can't see myself putting any level of effort into this.

From my perspective, the time when glb had bort's attention and the community could have decided a change has almost certainly passed.

Also the thing I was most afraid of was 1 CL league and 2 Pro leagues, which thankfully was not the case. 1 CL and 1 highly competitive Pro isn't too bad of a place to be stuck in.

Yeah we can't even get new offenses created by users installed as presets. There's no way anything that requires actual work is going to happen.
