Seems like whenever I look at the top WR builds, the focus always seems to be on having more Speed than Agility. Has anyone ever experimented with closer to a 1:1 ratio between Speed and Agility, maybe by 6-capping both and using 2 Eq pieces on Speed and 2 Eq pieces on Agility? If so, how did that turn out?

I had a guy successful in the slot around 140 spd 120 agi at one point. Led WL receivers in yards maybe s94 or so.

But I tried to replicate with some outside receivers since then (some with more agility) and it wasn't successful at all. At this point it's not a type of build I'm experimenting with at all as I don't think it's optimal.

A lot will depend on your QB and settings. The routes would have to be super short. You'll nail the fake for sure, but the ball will have to get to you before the defender does, and that 20+ point Speed difference chews up ground fast. The longer the pass, the longer the D has to make up ground.

Imo, I'd save that build for the TEs and HBs that work underneath.

Philosophically, you'd also be wasting that shiny new +0.5 Speed ALG also.

the smoke route is much more tasty than you're used to. 165+ speed is pretty easy to do now, and a ton more rounded than it used to be. The speed goes up a lot faster which means everything after that does also.

Also.. you didn't ask but... Possession builds work, if you put in the effort. That 0.25 Speed ALG forces them to be slow AF, which puts a lot of work on the coordinator. 100 Speed can be painful to watch, and you have to put that 0.5 Jumping ALG to good use, or there's no point in doing one.

@ Novus; Basically it's like this... the less speed you have the more agility you need. The breaking point is around 95 agility to 155 speed (with all EQ bonus applied). Once your speed starts to go below 155, other skills become more important... not the least of which is Carrying. Strength also. Without speed to get separation, you become subject to KL's... Carrying and Strength are the cure to that. Also, Jumping becomes more important. I would totally agree with TJ... Possession can be a great dot but it's also the hardest to build. Speed is easy. Speed only requires Speed, Catching, and a little Agility (around 80+ works fine)... add in some catch fake and run go routes all day.

If, as an OC, you like cutting routes and shorter throws, Agility becomes MUCH more important... to any WR build. As does Carrying and all the rest I spoke about. Everything is always in close quarters and the windows to pass into are small. Plus, after the catch, every damn defensive dot is whacking away for a KL on you. Catch is only half the battle. Securing the catch is the other half.

[edit] Forgot to add... some OC's hate it as badly as they hate Quick Read but high agility (I would say above 95 to be safe) and high Vision (75 at the VERY least)... you can get some interesting plays with receivers setting for creative route running. I've often wondered about having a team of those kinds of receivers and a QB with QR that can take max advantage of that.
