It was brought up a while ago to get a participation trophy for just being in an Elite League. I find that hot garbage.

Instead, there should be another game in the playoffs for Elite Leagues that determines 3rd and 4th place.

Trophies would be given out to teams finishing 1st through 4th.

Ladder already does this really. It's going to be the same pack of teams up at the top of Elite/Ladder anyway

I’d say it’s harder to finish top 4 in elite than ladder. Just to get into the playoffs in an elite league is bananas. For that reason, a 4th place elite league trophy weighs more in accomplishment than a ladder 4th place trophy.

It's the same pack of teams...By the end of the season the cream will rise to the top as always. Ladder trophies have always been way more important than league ones.

I prefer League trophies. I am not so elite that I can compete for ladder championships. I think I have won one in all the years I have been playing this game

Really? Must've missed the memo. Winning Vet Ladder was not as big an achievement, personally as winning Vet League. I don't place much stock on Ladder, except to experiment with playbooks and tactics.

Ladder = glorified scrims

I'd rather have a badge for 4th spot in League than Ladder. But I guess that's how I enjoy the game.

I’d say a #1 Elite League trophy is more important than a Ladder #1 by far. First, you have to get into the league. 2nd, you face tough competition nearly every game. And as we all know, playoffs are anyone’s game. A none elite can win 4th in ladder and odds are, the 4th in elite league finisher is better than that team.

I’d hold a higher standard to the top 4 in an elite league vs top 4 ladder.

Therefore, a 3/4th trophy for elite leagues holds a high prestige than 3/4th in ladder. Same as elite league winner vs ladder #1.

Honestly placing 3rd/4th in elite league means nothing. Getting to the champ game sure. But making top 2-3 in ladder rank will still come from the elite leagues every time as well.

This is patently false though...

It's SIGNIFICANTLY harder to win ladder compared to league. Only exception is maaaaaaaaaaaybe these elite leagues

That's cool. But as I said, as a personal experience, I much prefer league to ladder. And it's not even close. Ladder is virtually close my eyes and still get a top 5 finish.

To emphasise, I'm talking about personal experience. I haven't tried winning Ladder yet.

Top 5 in ladder isn't equal to a title, but Top 5 in ladder > Top 5 in any league. The number of agents who have won ladder isn't a long list

Have won #1 ladder once as owner. Have 4 owner rings. Ladder is significantly harder.
Sometimes you'll get a league away from the top teams. Big fish small pond. On ladder everyone swims with the sharks.
