This would be a feature that adds some interest to the game to game game-planning. The idea is that each day you'd be able to focus on a play/set of plays/tactic for offense and defense. You're players would then focus on those things for that day, giving you a boost during the next game when those plays are called.

As an example if you focus on all short passes, you can then tailor your game-plan to more of a short passing game and gain a bonus to those plays. Just as an option to bring more depth to those that tailor their game week to week. Picking holes in your opponents team.

After the game is played the bonus reverts and you can choose something else to focus on. Essentially a "point of emphasis" for the week.

Team practice in itself would be pretty cool as well. Offense vs defense type of situation - morale/conditioning maxed to see the raw ability of our teams.

Next thing you know, we are gonna start having little GLB coaches on the sideline calling plays

I did ask for "practice mode" in which you would be able to scrim against yourself but I'm not sure if Bort will go for that as it may cause less player interaction overall but not sure. It would definitely help being able to test your own offense/defense together vs whatever gameplan you want.

The only issue is that the games are on back to back days at the moment and would need to be every other day for this to work perfect. Definitely like the idea though...Could replace tags imo.

He could also tie some bonus SPs for those players who did good at practice for that next 2 games (ladder and league)….temp SPs just for the next games

the practice would only be on off day

This would be a good way to replace tags.

But...but...how would we spend the two hours building a defensive playbook if there were no tags?!?!?

Good idea.

You can see who can get their blocks on run plays, see if LBs can bust screens in the backfield. Would be able to see if builds are working out on both sides of the ball. Of course the result of practice is better play knowledge. No, you can't spam practices over and over to get play knowledge, but before a game, if you practice a particular play and your opponent runs it, you should get at least a trivial boost to play knowledge. Not sure how much of a slippery slope that would cause.
