I have never built my own AE equipment before. I always just aquire them by rolling

So if I build my own I know that If I add on an attribute bonus and bonus ability it needs to be at creation. If my player is a level 32 and I do the 4 upgrades that he can have at the time of purchase will I be able to upgrade 6 more times as he levels up?

Actually, only with Free EQ do you have to add anything at creation. However, it is highly advisable to select +3 skill and on your bonus at time of creation.

As for doing the upgrades, yes... if you want to. It's not necessary though. Sometimes it's even desirable to wait and be 100% sure you have enough BT's to cover ALL your AEQ.

Total (maximum) cost to build 1 AEQ is 425 BT's. 50 for the +3 skill /// 75 for the bonus (maximum cost for 5% or high value SA) /// and 300 to completely upgrade.

I actually just did this a couple days ago, because I wasn't sure exactly what my BTs were going to look like.

I originally built the +3 piece because I was getting sh!t rolls in the store.

I did all the upgrades along the way, and then when I saw I was going to be short, I added a cheap SA so I could be sure to get all 10 upgrades.
