Welcome back to Ghost league where the dead rise a couple days a week to bring us entertainment.

Week 4:

In the Alpha Division:

The Chameleons are coming off a win over the Huskers 17-3 which brought them back into a 3 way tie for the division lead. Barry Sanders lead the way on the ground in this one with 2 hard earned scores in a defensive battle between the division rivals. This week the 2-1 Chameleons face off against the 3-0 Run Tag Me Bitches in what could be a great game if the Chameleons defense can stop the potent RTMB offense. Good Luck Chameleons, you will need it.

The Huskers are looking to add another win to the record after they dropped their first game of the season to the Chameleons moving to 2-1 on the season. It doesn't look like it will be an easy one as they face off against the 2-1 Vagrant Murder Hobos who stunned last seasons champion Monkeys with a 20-14 victory in week three. This could be a game to watch ladies and gents.

The 2-1 Groundhogs look to pick up their 3rd win in a row after embarrassing the CPU Stunners 31-13 in week 3 as they face off against the 0-3 Bulldogs. If they dig the holes, their backs will run through them and the Groundhogs could jump into first place in the division with the win.

The 0-3 CPU Stunners are looking to lose another one today as they face off against last seasons Gamma Division Champions Gods of Metal who are 1-2. This could be the game that gets the Gods back on track and the Stunners stuffed at the bottom of the division for the remainder of the season with no hope.

In the Beta Division:

The 3-0 B.A.S.S. Nation continued their dominating ways last week with a 90-14 thrashing of the 0-3 Bulldogs. Next on the schedule is the 2-1 Sooners who upset Gods of Metal last week with a close but definitive win 24-14. This could be a rough game for the Sooners as Kevin VanDamn has been running away with the MVP early in the season.

After shocking the League champs last week with 212 yrds on the ground the 2-1 Vagrant Murder Hobos look to continue their winning streak against a tough 2-1 Huskers team. Here's to a good game.

Last seasons Champion 1-2 Monkeys are looking to light a fire and pick up their second win of the season as they face the 0-3 Flames. This could be the game that gets them going again. Look for a big score in this one. The Monkeys are no joke despite the early season losses.

The 0-3 Bulldogs are looking to pick up a win this week after getting blown out by B.A.S.S. Nation in week 3. It's not going to be an easy game for them with 2-1 Groundhogs digging holes in all the gaps.

In the Gamma Division:

The 3-0 Run Tag Me Bitches look to pick up win #4 against last seasons runner up 2-1 Chameleons after spotting the Flames a donut last week. The game of the week is going to come down to defense in this one. Can the Chameleons stop RTM Medium and get some points on the board or will they get run all over. Again GL Commonwealth.

The 2-1 Sooners have a tough one on the books this week after week 3's upset win against GOM. They face off against the powerhouse 3-0 B.A.S.S. Nation in what could be a huge game for the Sooners if they can stop VanDam from throwing round house kicks at the d-line. GL Sooners VanDam always has that fire lit when game time rolls around.

The 1-2 Gods of Metal look to get things going again against the 0-3 Stunners after a giving up 200 yrds on the ground to the Sooners in an upset loss. The Gods are coming and it doesn't look good for the Stunners.

The 0-3 Flames look to get some points on the board this week after getting shut out by RTMB in week 3 and pick up their first win of the season against last seasons Champion Monkeys. This could be another rough game for the Flames as they just might get lit up themselves.

There is more to come in Ghost league with 9 games left in the season, it's anyone's time to shine.

That Sooners ground attack is nothing to be messed with. I think that B.A.S.S. and Sooner game is going to be a run-fest and it's going to be glorious to those of us who love a good run game.

I'm just hoping and praying we can beat the CPU team by 30+ just to make sure we're still good over here on GOM. My defensive strategy has proven ineffective at sophomore level, so I've had to get kind of crazy with it.

The Sooners do have a great RB combo for real. Dewell and Dameko are a good tandem.

It was a 24-7 Huskers win in murder town where the Hobos dropped to 2-2 on the season. LaPaz Groundhogs vs South Beach Bulldogs

The Groundhogs came away with a win in this 40-34 score fest which saw the Groundhogs digging holes and Massey Ferguson running through them for 266 yds and 3 scores. The Bulldogs Wes Cole made the best of his day as he had 80 yds and 3 TDs in the loss. Next week the 3-1 Groundhogs host the powerhouse B. A. S. S. Nation while the 0-4 Bulldogs head to the House of Metal to face The Gods of Metal.

Gods of Metal vs Eugene Stunners

The Gods of Metal move to 2-2 after giving the Stunners a 49-3 thrashing. Vance Durham took control in this one with 154 total yds and 3 scores. The Metal defense held the Stunners to 195 total yds in a dominating performance. Next week the 2-2 Gods of Metal host the South Beach Bulldogs while 0-4 Stunners host the Sooners.

Run Tag Me B****** vs Commonwealth Chameleons

This weeks game of the week saw Run Tag Me drop their first game of the season in a 24-10 loss to the Chameleons. Barry Sanders lead Commonwealth to victory with 174 total yds and 2 TDs. Run Tag Me Med wasn't going down without a fight getting 173 total yds and a score for RTMB. Next week the 3-1 Chameleons host the Flames and 3-1 RTMB host the Vagrant Murder Hobos.

B. A. S. S. Nation vs Oklahoma Sooners

Powerhouse B. A. S. S. Nation moved to 4-0 as Van Dam continued his MVP caliber season with 330 total yds and 4 scores on their way to a 34-3 route of the Sooners. The 2-2 Sooners look for better days ahead as they head to Eugene to face the Stunners while undefeated B. A. S. S. Nation heads to LaPaz to take on the Groundhogs in week 5s game of the week.

Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs San Francisco Flames

The champion Evil Monkeys pick up their second win of the season with a 35-6 win over the Flames. Lombardi lead his team to victory throwing for 259 yds and 3 TDs while the defense held the Flames to just 31 yds on the ground. The 2-2 Monkeys swing over to Nebraska to face the Cornhuskers and the 0-4 San Francisco Flames go to the Commonwealth to take on the Chameleons.

Another Week is in the books as Ghost League finishes up week 5 of the season.

Week 5:

Huskers VS Evil Monkeys

This week saw the Huskers go to 4-1 on the season as they handed the Evil Monkeys their 3rd loss of the season in a close 17-10 win. It was Gabe Ervin JR leading the way for the Huskers again this week putting up 2 scores on 65 yds rushing in the defensive battle. Things sure are looking rough for the Monkeys this season after winning last seasons title.

Groundhogs VS B.A.S.S. Nation Game of The Week

It was another win for undefeated B.A.S.S. Nation this week as they dropped the Groundhogs to 3-2 in LaPaz 45-10. Kevin VanDam did his usual MVP dance gaining 309 total yds and 2 TD's in the win. This was a tough loss for the Groundhogs as they now sit second in the Alpha Division behind the Huskers and Chameleons.

Stunners VS Sooners

The Sooners got back on track this week moving into a 3 way tie for the Gamma Division lead as they handled the Stunners 35-3 in Eugene. The Sooners running game looked good again in this one with Dewell Brewer leading the team with 151 total yds and 3 scores. Eugene is going to need an owner if they want any shot at making up any ground this season as they fall to 0-5 on the season.

Chameleons VS Flames

The Chameleons move to 4-1 on the season with a 37-7 win over the 0-5 Flames. The Chameleons Jerry Rice took home the Offensive award in this one catching 5 passes for 58 yds and 3 TD's as he continues to excel in the Chameleons offense. The Flames are still looking for some fire power after the loss while sitting at the bottom of the Gamma Division.

Gods of Metal VS Bulldogs

The Gods of Metal move into a 3 way tie for the Gamma Division lead at 3-2 with the win over the offensively potent but hapless 0-5 Bulldogs. Vance Durham gave the Bulldogs more then they could handle this week coming away with 151 total yards and 5 total scores as he continues to be a threat in the offensive scheme for the Gods of Metal. The Bulldogs offense needs the defense to pick it up if they ever want to get in the win column as they sit at the bottom of Beta Division.

Run Tag Me Bitches VS Vagrant Murder Hobos

Run Tag Me Bitches falls to 3-2 after a vicious beating by the Murder Hobos 30-0 which saw the Murder Hobos move to 3-2 on the season. It was another great game game by MVP candidate Cough Syrup Addict Niedermeyer which saw him collect 341 total yds and 3 TDs in the win. After dropping 2 games in a row, Run Tag Me is looking to bounce back after dropping into a 3 way tie for the division lead.

Standings going into WK 6.

This is going to be tough to gameplan for. Chameleons are a great team. Hopefully it's a close game (and hopefully we win).

I'm not taking the win for granted for sure. You have a great team and the passing bug is hurting my YPA and picks are coming fast and often for my QB that only threw 12 over 20 games last season. Sitting at 7 INTs after 9 games so far.

What's up with the Passing bug? I haven't heard about it

The last update on Dec 7th added a minor tweek to passing that ended up making long and med passes get thrown short. Receivers are stopping mid route to wait for a ball. Passes are not arcing and LBs are picking up INTs when the WR has beat the coverage. Completion %'s are higher but they are completing more passes to the defense too. Fortunately it effects everyone. That said, running teams are even more powerful now that you can't get big plays from throwing long.

yes and no, the weight tackling towards power tackling has decreased power running significantly however spin backs still reign supreme

Until the spin backs do some double or triple spins and go backwards like 5 yards, which is funny every time I've seen it. Sometimes they just become beyblades
