"Flying Niedermeyers" is a colloquial expression from 13th century Denmark, similar in intent to the Low English phrase "when pigs can fly"

It is a name with a long and storied history, but it carries with it a hint of impropriety, in large part due to the Nashville Noodle Incident of 1964.
