I'm newer to game planning. I just played a scrimmage and was testing some things out. I selected no to not deviate from my settings and also 0 for how quickly to deviate

My game plan was still different then what I had. I do have scored based calling allowed so I understand why my pass/run percentage would be different.

By allowing score based calling does that also mean the sim will possibly choose different playbooks then you had selected and also adjust field goal settings? I only wanted my kicker to go for 49 yards or less but he attempted 1 over 50 yards (setting was at 66)

Is that why? Are there any other settings that would allow changes?

Thanks for any help.

for 49 yard FG attempt, you set the limit at 32 yard line correct?

32 yard line + 10 yard endzone + 7 yards back from line of scrimmage.

I'm so confused. I thought for 49 yards and under it was 49 plus 17?

But what you are saying would explain it. I have another scrimmage tomorrow. I'll set it at 32. Thank you

From what I’ve read in the forum with FG question, whatever the max is YOY want your kicker to kick, that is what you put in the box

Incorrect. Max range goes in box. So ball spot plus 17 equals total. If u want 49 as max then put 49 in the box.

Yeah. It's over explained in the Ai.

It should just say -- Max FG Range.

No one actually gives a rats anus about what yard line it's kicked from or how big the endzone is.

After 1 game, you should have a pretty good idea of how long your kicker can make from.

Made a 35 with some room? Missed a 42? Let's try 39.

Thank you! I have gotten three different answers now. The first two were wrong. One too high one too low. Like Goldilocks third time is the charm haha.

Thank you!! It makes more sense it would be straight forward. The language was screwing me up.

Just ask your kicker if he thinks he can make it. if he says yes throw him in and let him kick it. (I'm obviously joking)

Screwed with me too until I just dumbed it down. And, to make it worse, max range is an odd number (+17 from LOS) instead of an even one (meaning 5 yard increment)... while the INPUT yardage selection is set for 5 yard increments. Max brain cramp. So be sure your Max range setting always ends in 2 or 7 so you can match it up inside the INPUT's. I did it other ways and have had the AI screw up on me so... keep in mind.
