I'm a few weeks into the game. I had a WRpickup player I got to sophomore level 18 by playing lots of practice games using boosts. i wanted him to get on a team so i converted him to a normal player. What do I do if nobody wants him? He can't progress anymore without being on a team. I have two other normal players that got picked up right away by CPU teams and those 2 are nowhere near as good as my WR I just converted. I pushed the button that says Requset Offers from a CPU team and it says there are no CPU team my WR is qualified for. I do have an ad placed in the market place and I listed it as willing to be a bench player and would boost. So is that all there is to being a pickup player? Is this guy that is a so called Superstar player just supposed to be scrapped on to the scrap heap?

As you've learned, don't convert pickup to normal until AFTER you secure a spot on a team. This is done by following the forums and establishing relationships with agents and owners.

Is there a chance he could be picked up at the start of next season or is it best to just scrap this guy and start over? Would a CPU team look at him then? By the way I did read LOTS of pages on the forum over multiple hours and never saw this discussed.

You can wait until everyone has played 18 games this season and sign him to a CPU team because that’s the level he is at and then in the off-season someone will sign him. I may be changing a couple things on CRL and I would if I do.

Your player is further along in the season than any team can sign him to at the moment. the highest any team can sign at the moment is a 2 star sophomore.

Once teams have caught up to him, you can sign him to any team willing to - or a cpu team if you'd like. The request offers should work properly once we get a bit further into the season.

Looking at his build, you might want to start over, you can regain the S* since he hasn't played any games, if you want to keep him like others have said, wait until teams catch up, I think hes got 5 games to wait, also he won't have the stats you got as a PU player, if you care about that.
