Saturn League Sophomore Pre-Season Report
Alpha DivisionBoss' Da 0 Chem Bois ~ 12 S*s to include a HB, TE and O-line minus a S* Center. The Bossman certainly has the pedigree, but he was on break from the game for a bit and while some things are the same, there have been a lot of changes during his hiatus. There is no doubt that these boys will be competitive BUT Saturn League is stacked! I predict the Boss' Bois will have a winning record at the end of the season but will miss out on the play-offs
Vipermaw's Cornhuskers ~ Only 4 S*, including a QB and HB. Viper does not appear to be as serious about the game as he used to be, more so in it for the fun nowadays. I predict that the Cornhusker's and my Comeback team will be sharing company in the Alpha Division basement, BUT we will have a hella good time!
My Don't Call it a Comeback team ~ Only 4 S*, including a HB and FB on offense. We did make the playoffs last season BUT that league was nowhere as tough as Saturn is this season. This team is already beginning to have a difficult time keeping up with the forerunners and is really making me question everything I thought I knew about this game.
Dolemyte's San Salvador Scorpions ~ 12 S* to include a HB, 2 TE, 2 WRs, 2 DTs, 3 LBs and 2 Safeties. This team is a tough nut to crack. They lost to the Champion Dream Team in the playoffs last season, so they have what it takes to get there again and are my favorite to win the Alpha Division.
Beta DivisionPassword is Taco's Texas Snakes ~ This team is a conundrum to me. 10 S*s to include a HB, FB, TE and WR on offense. They are 100% run. Their defense is mostly CPU players on low contracts. I just don't see an all run offense keeping up with that defense and I predict more struggles for the Snakes.
DallasCowboyFans' Midnight Vegas ~ 9 S*s to include a QB, HB and TE on offense. Vegas made it into the playoffs last season before losing to the Rebels. This team is a SOLID, well coached team, much like Da 0 Chem Bois. They belong in the playoffs. I predict they will have a great season but just miss out of making it into the playoffs this season.
magnus7's Wrecking Crew ~ 5 S* to include 2 WRs on offense. I was not able to find much info on this team. It does not look like they can beat Vegas or the Rebels though.
Dredgar's Southside Rebels ~ 10S*s including a QB, HB, TE, WR, 3 LBs and 2 Safeties. The Rebels have a balanced offense and a Zone defense with S* players in all of the key positions, coached by one of the most experienced and knowledgeable players in the game. Last season the Rebels fell short of wining the Championship 17-12 to Bo's Dream Team. I predict that the Rebel's will return the favor this season in another all time great Championship Game.
Gamma DivisionHzachary's Airbourne Screaming Eagles ~ 12 S*s including a QB, HB, TE, 2 LBs, 2 CBs and 2 Safeties. They play a 52 Man Defense coached by ellix I assume. Last season they fell short of making the playoffs. This season I predict they will win the Wild Card and have to face off versus the Dream Team for a third time in the season. That game could go either way but for the sake of choosing a winner, I have to put my imaginary money on the defending champion Dream Team to set the stage for a repeat of last year's Championship game.
Bodiddley's Dream Team ~ *The Defending Champions* Only 7 S*s on this team including a HB, TE and 2 WR on offense. Bo got it done last season. Because Bo knows GLB2, I believe the Dream Team will make it to the Championship game again setting up the revenge game for the Rebels to return favor.
The Big 40's Ellerslie Falcons ~ The Falcons were 6 - 24 last season. In order to match or improve on last season's record they will need to sweep the Gangsters and pick up a few ladder victories.
NAFFIZ's New Brunswick Gangsters ~ Not much to say here. 0 S*s, all CPU dots and an inactive owner atm.
*More to come. I will finish the write up later this afternoon. I have to run some errands now*
