Should we boost before season 100 starts so we can have boosts again when season 100 comes?

If you are building for plateau specifically, it's better to not boost until the end of season 1 (ie skip s0 boosts).
But ya, you will be behind levels your first 4 seasons, however all the WL dotbuilders will be behind levels as well.
It's honestly stupid so I hope Bort fixes it (removes the 5 "catch-up" boosts)...

If you are building for plateau specifically, it's better to not boost until the end of season 1 (ie skip s0 boosts).
But ya, you will be behind levels your first 4 seasons, however all the WL dotbuilders will be behind levels as well.
It's honestly stupid so I hope Bort fixes it (removes the 5 "catch-up" boosts)...

The 5 catch up boosts are absolutely necessary;
If for no other reason, EVERYONE has forgotten to boost a dot/dots at least once and genuinely needed the "make up boosts" to finish a build. How crappy to put time and seasons of effort into a build, only to space out boosting one season, and be screwed of all that time and effort!

why not removing the first 5 boosts with player creation (those from s99 until D0 of s100)?

If meta is to skip the s0 boosts (which it absolutely will be) the catch-up boosts don't even exist as a safety valve, they just exist as a necessary build mechanic for top dots.
Plus 4 ssns is a lot shorter to miss a boost than 7 ssns.
One solution would be to remove alg's from the 5 "catch-up boosts" possible on d161, which keeps it intact as a safety valve to hit l79 but ensure it'll never be the optimal way to build...
