Check the changelog.

I guess the passing game just got a huge indirect buff, eh? That's gonna be BIG. Hell, even *I* might be able to put together an almost-competent passing game now.

No one built either effectively in old GLB. Some slot possession guys existed, but not much else.

The same was said of Speedsters. That was the reason given for the change.

Do you think the change benefits Possession and/or Power WRs?

Yes, it clearly benefits both Imho.

Going from 5major to 4major adds like 130 if effective level to the dots by plateau.

It's a worthwhile buff, and worth "killing" the 150 spd possession receivers that existed.

Majors - Agility, Catching, Confidence, Speed, Vision (+.4)

Basically, just shifted Confidence down to a Minor, which means Speedster WRs will now have higher Speed, Agility, Vision and Catching from ALGs, at the cost of a little less Confidence, Carrying, Jumping and Stamina from ALGs. That will also allow Speedster WRs to now match the Speed and Agility of 4-major CBs more easily. I'm not sure why that's bad for WRs.

Basically just moved Carrying from a Major down to a Minor. Possession WRs will now have more Agility, Catching, Jumping and Vision from ALGs, at the cost of slightly less Speed, Carrying, Confidence and Stamina from ALGs. This will make it easier for Possession WRs to keep up with the Agility of 4-major CBs and make it even more likely for them to win contested catch rolls. But with the ALGs for Minors being smaller, it will be even harder for Possession WRs to have enough Speed. Is that worth the trade-off? We'll see, I suppose.

They're still not going to be faster than zone defense though. Not sure this is worth the price of admission. Time will tell.

This might be a viable path, with a coordinator that can force feed targets. Ignore running the route completely. Jump, Vision, Catching.

No such thing as a possession with no jumping and low vision. This is a blocker or the mythical catching pHB. Not sure it will be any more useful than it already was with this little boost. The tackling bonus after the catch is a bitch.

Two words; Catch Fake. It's amazing how slow a fast dot gets when it gets confused.

Not sure about ignoring route running but for sure Jumping and Catching. As for Route Running... if not setting tactics for 'creative route running' then I think you want this. IMHO, for medium and short tosses, all you need is a tiny space. Yac unlikely but I'll take 5 yards a catch any day. However... if the plan is to do creative route running tactic then I would totally agree on leaving Route Running behind. IMHO.

Agree. The Power arch is good for a bit of outside blocking... but if you want them to catch the ball you MUST have Jumping since they'll be lacking in Agility and Speed. Which, Jumping isn't even a Minor so... that sucks. Build 'em tall and hit 50 minimum jumping... at least.
