Okay, we know via a Bort quote that AoI works on offensive players, that's why the AoI/Pummel type OLineman has come to dominate.

Do we KNOW that the Intimidation VA wouldn't work for offensive players (to make the AoI SA effective against dots with higher Confidence), just because it's in the "Defense" VA section, or is there a Bort quote for that too?

Interesting. So, if my math is right, and you assume that 50 Confidence is where opponents start resisting all or most of AoI's effects, then if you put 15 VA points into Intimidation, that number jumps up to 87.5 Confidence needed to resist.

Because I've never seen an AoI/Pummel built Olineman with any VA points in Intimidation, I figured it must have been settled not to work for offensive players.

The question is how many defenders have 50 confidence to begin with that pushing it to 87.5 hypothetically is really necessary?

Ah... the rabbit hole of morale destruction. Not sure if anyone agrees with me but, because of Bort's LOVE affair with 'Diminishing Returns'... especially considering 'stacking' bonuses, then I highly suspect there's a point at which the amount of morale destroying VA's and SA's and all that garbage... ceases to add anything worth value to what's already there. People chase the '100% sure thing' here a lot... human nature. But Bort seemed to go out of his way to be sure 100% never happens... hence 'diminishing returns'. You could do them all... all the SA's and VA's you can find... stack them all together and have one heck of a morale destroying fella... but it will cost you the other VA's and SA's that most OC's and DC's would like you to have... which means a lesser dot. Mean as a cross-eyed Rhino with a bad toothache... but can't do anything but run around and try to hit things (missing a lot in the process).

Dots as Morale red-liners, as well as Chem toilet teams, seem to be immune to a large degree, against spiraling the last 3-4 seasons.
EDIT: At least that has been my observation *shrugs*

Oh, I haven't known it yet. While there may be some benefit to using intimidation as an offensive player to make the AoI SA effective against defensive players with higher confidence, it is generally not considered a primary skill or technique for offensive players. https://contexto-wordle.com/
