Good morning Casual Pro community and welcome to the Season 97 After 1 Casual Pro News. I am your host Jayadamo and I am here to entertain you and spoil the finish of this season.
Segment 1: Opening thoughts
I have to be honest, I didn't follow the league very close last season since I was "busy" losing to FUShoreline like usual. Looking over the league it is sad to see the changes in the past 2 seasons, a lot of great teams gone.
No Charlestown Chiefs this season is just weird and I hope to see Sunder bring them back some day.
The good news is there are a few teams I have been following the past few seasons. Your Mom of course being my favorite, you know as well as I do that everyone loves Your Mom. Your Dad is also close to my heart but honestly he is a shitty parent. Madrocker's Magua's Revenge is awesome and well as JAndrews' Skull Valley Slaughter. San Dimas is competitive and it is good to see the Wolfpack back.
The old heads are great to see, led by the back to back champion Phrenzy, the hungry to get back to the top Kops, the Metal Militia disguised as an Italian team so the Vols never get a chance to beat them, one of my all time favorites the Granite Peak Grizzlies, JAndrews GCC and last and definitely least the River City CPUs.
Segment 2: Regular Season Predicted Order of Finish
West
1. Arditi Italia
I wanted to put the champs here but SHINKANSEN made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I just have a good feeling about what this team will do in the regular season.
2. Philadelphia Phrenzy
I am assuming their preseason and week 1 struggles are chemistry related and that they finish near the top of the league.
3. Magua's Revenge
A thorn in Your Mom's side for seasons and could become a CP power.
4. Skull Valley Slaughter
I have a lot of respect for this team. Them and Magua's are interchangeable at 3 and 4.
5. Your Dad Goes to College
It is great that your Dad goes to College but nobody is impressed with the University of GLB Online.
6. San Dimas Saints
Lots of inactives so I am not sure how much effort will be put in. They could finish as high as 5th.
East
1. Steel City Kops
I am not only picking this team to finish 1st in the East but I am picking them to win this league and I don't think it will be close. 16-0 Regular season followed by winning league, book it.
2. Granite Peak Grizzlies
Great team with a great history but will be fighting an uphill battle with Rocdog taking the league to school all season.
3. Your Mom Goes to College
She is doing it right, not quite an Ivy league school but a respectable University.
4. Ghost Creek Cowboys
This might be a spot or 2 too low for the Cowboy's but it feels about right as I type this.
5. Arctic Smurfin Wolfpack
Just haven't seen a rushing team succeed in CP. I guess if there was one that could it is this one.
6. River City CPUs
Meh
That will do it for this edition. I am not making any promises on how many of these I will put out but will try to throw one in here and there when I can. Good luck to you all and remember if you have a bad cough take laxatives. You will then be to afraid to cough.
