Early on, it's not bad. The usual stuff like attributes, isn't full power because your own attributes are still growing.
The defense usually doesn't invest in Vision until later in the build.
There's really not a lot of low level VAs that are especially good. This one at least gives free yards and possibly a first down when it fires.
You can always train out of it later.

I've tried it on 2 QB's with success. However, the trouble is that as the players get older, their vision gets better... and the number of times you can draw an 'offsides' slowly diminishes to a point where I just don't think the investment is worth the minimal gains you get from it. I wouldn't do it again.
