So if have fully boosted seasons 0-3, I am wondering if there is any downside to skipping boosting in season 4, and using the makeup boosts on day 281. This is a farm team, no cares about winning, so it does not matter when I hit levels 56, and 72 for eq upgrades. And before a certain someone feels the need to regurgitate the wiki on how late boosting works, yes, I will end up at level 70 before day 280, then will boost 3x somewhere in the day -8 to 0. Then have 6 boosts on day 281 to reach level 79.

My question is, what are the downsides in this particular scenario. And, if none, why don't more farm teams do it? My quickie calculation shows an increase training will generate at least 4 SP worth of attributes. Those saved attributes then can be used for extra attributes, or on SAs. I remember one whole team that skipped season 0 boosts, and at plateau, all their dots had way higher ELs than the rest of the players of the same build timeframe. But that seems to miss out on a handful of VAs.

Thanks in advance to those that answer the specific question.

If you did all that other mathyness, you're totally capable of figuring out the effect on your XP and VP progression.

The only other downside would be if you happened to miss a set of boosts accidentally, like because of a power outage or something.

You're running the rest of your career without a safety net. If you're cool with that level of risk / reward, go for it.

But...It's already possible to do WL dots without doing that. 4 SPs on a 1300+ dot doesn't seem like it would be worth even the tiny risk.

We're 3 seasons away from the dotpocalypse anyway. Repent. The end is nigh.

There are no VP effects in that scenario, since your dots will be lvl 42 (if fully boosted) by the end of season 3, and the last step-up in VXP per day comes at lvl 40.

Like Maul Rat said, the only downside to skipping a season entirely at that point, or delaying boosting until you hit caps as the seasons go, is just the loss of that "safety net" if you accidentally miss more boosts somehow.

As Maul Rat pointed out, the only disadvantage of skipping a complete season at that time or delaying boosting until you hit caps as the seasons progress is the elimination of that "safety net" in the event that you inadvertently miss more boosts due to some other cause.

there may not be any significant downsides to skipping boosting in season 4 and using makeup boosts on day 281, especially if you're playing on a farm team where winning is not a priority. https://melonplayground.co
