I tried a new strategy with my AEQs for my player. I have forgotten, when do players normally need to switch from quad to light training in order to have enough BTs to fully upgrade all 4 AEQ? I am trying to figure out if this new strategy worked or not. I was thinking that it was some time early in season 5, but I just cannot find proof of it.

Thanks.

Usually around when your dot gets to be around 160 days old is when it is time to switch.

Agreed. That's a good ballpark. The rest depends on what AEQ you're going after, and if you're trying your luck in the store.

Of you plan on any store gambling it's better to start early. You can always up your training later if you get lucky. If you're not lucky, it's easy to come up short.

thanks guys. I was fairly certain that it was 160 but after getting all 4 AEQ, my build plan is closer to 200 and that seemed too good to be true, so I thought that I had it wrong. Levels 32, 37, and 42 seem great for shopping. My center got 2 +3 strength, 2 +3 blocking, a +2 strength, then got 2 bare 5% hold blocks. The 2 5% came in back to back rolls. I hadn't really tracked my shopping, but in the past, I often would intend to roll twice then end up rolling 10+ times. I just wish that they had all not been heads so that I could have saved convert costs.

160 is the normal range to begin lite training with doing a 4aeq dot, if you hit some good aeq real quick when shopping you could even go longer on multi training at times, I did that a few times when i build a 4 aeq dot.

Also if you have all your shopping done figure out how many bt's it is going to take to build the aeq pcs, once you figure that out start a simulated build for the dot then you can go in the simulated build click on the set the desired build for day 280 it will tell you how many bt's you will get finishing the build for all the ways of building (4way, intense, normal and lite)

I have a spreadsheet that does the same thing. I figure out how many BT that I need for each AEQ, and what season the dot is in, then I can manipulate how many quad, normal, and light trainings that I want to do. As I do upgrades, I update the spreadsheet. It has saved me a ton of guesswork. Right now, looking at trying to keep all the skills so that they end quads in the 80%s so that I won't have to do too many training where I only get less than 10%. I am looking at a max of 22 quad trainings left, but will probably do fewer depending on how many training breakthroughs that I get. My end goal is to waste as few training %s as possible.

The (Un)complicated Lives of the (Not-So) Simple Dot. (Or how to dumb down the AEQ math.)

Thought I’d share with you how I dumb down the complicated math for figuring out training and AEQ finishing. I mean, you can go crazy and burn a few brain cells trying to calculate all this stuff sometimes. So I wanted something stupidly simple to work with for my not-so-math-oriented brain to work with. So here goes….

After you’ve gotten your last piece of AEQ from shopping (Note; if you’re building the math is uber simple folks. A max of 425 BT’s per piece to the finished product) it’s time to try and figure out WHEN to switch off of Multi-training to acquire enough BT’s to finish off the AEQ you have. Rather than go note taking nuts and calculator crazy, try this instead;

ONE piece of AEQ costs 300 BT’s to finish. So;
1 AEQ = 300 BT’s
2 AEQ = 600 BT’s
3 AEQ = 900 BT’s
4 AEQ = 1,200 BT’s

You get 6 BT’s per day from Light Training.
It takes 50 days of Light Training to get 300 BT’s.
So;
1 AEQ = 50 days
2 AEQ = 100 days
3 AEQ = 150 days
4 AEQ = 200 days

Training is constant as long as your dot is on a team. So are Training Points.
There are 56 days of Training per season so;
1 Season = 336 BT’s
2 Seasons = 672 BT’s
3 Seasons = 1008 BT’s

Don’t forget you get 8 days of training before final boosts and Plateau. That’s 48 BT’s if Light Training. I generally choose NOT to count those last days of training. Why? Because many times you need those to finish training a skill with OTHER types of training than Light training and I also like to have a cushion in case I somehow make a math mistake along the way.
However, if you don’t make mistakes then that’s 1,092 BT’s in THREE seasons (plus the 8 days) of Light Training.
Also there are 280 days in the life of a dot before it hits Plateau.
SPECIAL NOTE! A dot does NOT age during the OFF SEASON and PRE SEASON! That’s 16 days per season of dot’s life. Also make sure you’re considering this when doing the AEQ/Training math when considering WHAT AGE to stop Multi-training and make the switch.
Also you will have BT’s IN POCKET as well to consider when calculating the day to switch. The more you have, the longer you can keep Multi-training because the less (BT’s) you will need. This also goes for those of you that ENHANCE AEQ as you go along… SO;
1 Enhancement = 30 BT’s
2 Enhancements = 60 BT’s
3 Enhancements = 90 BT’s
4 Enhancements = 120 BT’s
Ect, ect, ect… 30 BT’s for every enhancement.

So be sure to deduct all remaining BT’s PLUS add up all enhancements before calculating final numbers to arrive at the time when you should make the switch from Multi-training to Light Training.

Training Days left=(X*57)+(48-Y)+9

X= number of full seasons left
Y= the day of the current season
you have to add 9 training days for Season 8 Preseason

Each season has 57 days total (9 preseason, 40 season, 8 offseason) and 7 Seasons to achieve Plateau
