Does Head Hunter without the Monster hit/Big Hit still help cause KLs? It reads like it still increases the FF% which is part of the KL equation correct?

Head Hunter
The Headhunter ability gives a bonus to causing fumbles, big hits, and monster hits when this player is traveling at or near full speed.

This skill works best for secondary players who can fly in and make the big hit.

Additional Levels:
Increases bonus to causing fumbles, big hits, and monster hits.

I'd guess yes. I'm guessing you're talking about a dot that does other stuff like STs.

If you're looking specifically for KLs though, you probably want Jackhammer SA.

I was going to go Jack Hammer and Head Hunter 10 but if I got Monster hit also I don’t get any freedom with any other SA on a combo corner.

Fwiw... Don't overlook Big Hit. Not only does it light up more often than MH, but it's also coded the same as Big Sack, the D-line ability. Like if you score a Big Hit against a QB in the backfield, it'll light up as Big Sack even if Big Sack isn't in your tree.

I was thinking about going Big Hit instead because it does fire more frequently then Monster hit. Is the only difference between the two morale loss? I was thinking Monster would be better because if it does register against a WR with 60 Carry Id figure hed have a greater chance of causing a fumble with Monster instead of Big....Maybe im wrong?

If looking for KL's then I'd 1st consider what opposes them. Carrying (#1) and Strength (#2). Skinny lil' Speed Wr's usually have little of the 1st and almost none of the 2nd so getting a KL against them doesn't take as much as it does against a well built Possession or RTE which has more of both. I'd look for SA's and VA's that allow you to 'side step' the player vs player roll first... then consider those that enhance my player vs player skill battles second. Knowing what your dot brings to the table with his skill set would be key in knowing which SA's and VA's I want to help... either to make up for a considered skill deficiency or to reduce my opponent's skills so I can gain an advantage.

My general thoughts

CB Jackhammer

Ss HardHitter

CBs need more balance even specific run defenders
Ss get a better Run stop SA tree and you have the option of Helmet Crash to increase Monster/Big hit %age
