Here. This is a 2nd part to my earlier 'shopping guide'. I really, really, really need to work on cutting down the size of these things... but they have all the important info you need to calculate your BT's and all that stuff.

The (Un)complicated Lives of the (Not-So) Simple Dot. (Or how to dumb down the AEQ math.)

Thought I’d share with you how I dumb down the complicated math for figuring out training and AEQ finishing. I mean, you can go crazy and burn a few brain cells trying to calculate all this stuff sometimes. So I wanted something stupidly simple to work with for my not-so-math-oriented brain to work with. So here goes….

After you’ve gotten your last piece of AEQ from shopping (Note; if you’re building the math is uber simple folks. A max of 425 BT’s per piece to the finished product) it’s time to try and figure out WHEN to switch off of Multi-training to acquire enough BT’s to finish off the AEQ you have. Rather than go note taking nuts and calculator crazy, try this instead;

ONE piece of AEQ costs 300 BT’s to finish. So;
1 AEQ = 300 BT’s
2 AEQ = 600 BT’s
3 AEQ = 900 BT’s
4 AEQ = 1,200 BT’s

You get 6 BT’s per day from Light Training.
It takes 50 days of Light Training to get 300 BT’s.
So;
1 AEQ = 50 days
2 AEQ = 100 days
3 AEQ = 150 days
4 AEQ = 200 days

Training is constant as long as your dot is on a team. So are Training Points.
There are 56 days of Training per season so;
1 Season = 336 BT’s
2 Seasons = 672 BT’s
3 Seasons = 1008 BT’s

Don’t forget you get 8 days of training before final boosts and Plateau. That’s 48 BT’s if Light Training. I generally choose NOT to count those last days of training. Why? Because many times you need those to finish training a skill with OTHER types of training than Light training and I also like to have a cushion in case I somehow make a math mistake along the way.
However, if you don’t make mistakes then that’s 1,092 BT’s in THREE seasons (plus the 8 days) of Light Training.
Also there are 280 days in the life of a dot before it hits Plateau.
SPECIAL NOTE! A dot does NOT age during the OFF SEASON and PRE SEASON! That’s 16 days per season of dot’s life. Also make sure you’re considering this when doing the AEQ/Training math when considering WHAT AGE to stop Multi-training and make the switch.
Also you will have BT’s IN POCKET as well to consider when calculating the day to switch. The more you have, the longer you can keep Multi-training because the less (BT’s) you will need. This also goes for those of you that ENHANCE AEQ as you go along… SO;
1 Enhancement = 30 BT’s
2 Enhancements = 60 BT’s
3 Enhancements = 90 BT’s
4 Enhancements = 120 BT’s
Ect, ect, ect… 30 BT’s for every enhancement.

So be sure to deduct all remaining BT’s PLUS add up all enhancements before calculating final numbers to arrive at the time when you should make the switch from Multi-training to Light Training.

Thank you for your post. It's wonderful to see that staying up-to-date and connected is still important in today's digital world. Reading articles like this is one of the simplest ways of getting there https://gartic-phone.com, but it can be difficult to find the time and focus to read as an adult. So I'm extremely pleased to have stumbled across this one.

Not to be lazy, but is there an Ultra AEQ for Dummies out there? I know the list listed above and will consult it like Encyclopedia Britannica but what I'm wondering is best selection for positions?

I honestly thought about grabbing a 5% INT Chance for a DE, and then pondered on it and asked my DC about it and realized, honestly how many DE / DT grab INT's?! Probably very little...

I'm going to throw out some positions and what I think would be the best % bonus of choice and if anyone cares to proofread me and say hey nutjob, what are you thinking, I'll take it!!!

Please note: most of my dots are non glamor dots with just one TE dot and others are Defensive dots...

OLine: Hold Block Chance
TE: no idea maybe Break Tackle / Hold Block??
DLine: Make Tackle Chance ?? No idea
LB: Pass Deflect / Make Tackle??
CB: Pass Deflect? Make Tackle?
SS/ FS: Pass Deflect? Make Tackle? INT?

5%'s are the best pieces. Most OC's and DC's want dots with at least 1, usually two. Examples;

O-line needs 2 5% Hold Block.

LB needs at least 2 5% make Tackle.

INT CB needs at least 2 5% Make INT.

So on and so on. Check with OC and/or DC for their desired end build ideas.

SA's are good but only if the really fit the build and only if you've gotten your 5% pieces lined up. Also, generally speaking, you want the best SA's that are the furthest down the SA tree because they'll cost you the most SP's to raise up so you're saving SP's as well as BT's and making a good dot.

every defensive player should have all their AE in % based AE

OL, BTE, BWR - 2-3 HB%

QB - all equipment in %

rec WR - maybe 1 in Juke and the rest in %

RTE - all %

most RB and FB ball carriers have maybe 1 SA and the rest in %

BFB 2 HB%, the rest SA unless you are making combo

keep in mind that Bort had to nerf % AE down some because it was so overpowered and you can always add SP to SA's but not to %
