Reg Pro has always been a wasted season. Just give 2 free levels at the end of semi pro, to go from 68 to 70 instead of wasting a whole season. Like "Congrats, you made it. Here's a little gift for sticking with it this long."

At the start of the Pro season, just unlock all boosts, from 70 to 73, 73 to 76, and 76 to 79. Give the 25 SP bonus as usual.

WL became obsolete when tournaments were invented. The original pitch was to settle the beefs and shit talking across the Natty Pro leagues. Then it became it's own beast, and nothing else mattered.

It should just be the World League tournament. Just make it double elimination or something, so that it takes up approximately 40 days somehow, like every other odd day or something.

Would it make you feel better if, Reg Pro went away, Natty Pro went away, and the consolidation happened in WL?

It really doesn't matter what the L70+ bracket is called. Just that there aren't enough teams to fill 3 different leagues.

We could just light it all on fire and call the new thing Universe League.

Winning and losing is going to happen no matter how you slice it.

Semi pro age bracket has 1 league and is sending 5 whole entire teams to pro level.

1 - WL

2 National Pro Leagues

X Regional Pro Leagues - for level 73's and below

Push all the level 79 teams up into National Pro

If you want to make an old age league for retirement guys that would be fine - min age of 520d

Honestly, the solution is insta-79s and reduced player cost (maybe reasonable cost options to build half a team or entire position groups). Obviously that's not going to happen since bort is done.

This game is a miracle to still be around, but it's only due to a small group of people driving their networks, and each having a group that are still willing to buy flex, as every single other independent group keeps dieing due to not being able to muster the players and flex for the 1.5 year dotbuilding climb.


Even if you get a rookie group together with good builders, you gotta pray 55 dots no one quits glb in 2 years. It's basically impossible.


Sounds like Mauler has made his last new rookie team, which means the "groups" capable of sustaining WL play drops from 4 to 3. A couple cradle to the grave teams come up (4th street, etc) but that's what you'll have, 3 networks and a few top level independents.


The solution is to give people a way to make top dots and fill teams so they don't implode. I'm not a programmer, but I can't imagine it'd be that hard to at a minimum, copy the sim and site, make a separate game "glb Legends", then create a player builder where it's insta-79s only. Bort has no desire to put the time into it, and already has retirement money due to the nuts initial glb boom, so it is what it is...

The root cause is not being able to keep teams filled.

It'd be great if Stamina and Morale was adjusted so that team size was cut in half. Max roster size has always been a barrier to entry. Getting 55 dots to sign up is a challenge, now even for networks. Keeping them all is next to impossible.

Then there should be a simple cloning process. There's already one dot loaded into the sim, loading in another copy of the same dot should be a no brainier. If a team loses a player and their associated dots, other players could just create clones of their own dots to fill the gaps. This would incentivize building more dots.

Speeding up the build process would go a long way as well. Herding kittens is rough, herding kittens for an entire year and a half is a shit show.

There's a lot of ways to skin this goat. Unfortunately none of it is going to happen.
