When I started, I played for a few seasons on various teams until joining up with a group of Houston Texans fans to for the Houston Toros. I think we made it to WL once before everyone started to fall away from the game. We tried to keep it going for awhile by bringing in other agents, but without the backing of the networks, we just couldn't keep it going. It just became too much work as an independent team to try and compete, so as more and more left, I played out my last few players, and quietly retired.
I'm still an independent, but maybe at some point I'll join a network. For now, I just like the challenge while I'm relearning the game.

The past few ladder climbs with FLEX EATERS, Nation of Domination and BC twice now was purely to enjoy the ride and talk some smack.
That was the last time we dialed our builds in and really went for it. But still were close in Pro with the above mentioned teams.

Same here. I understand for them the end game is WL but still, each level of the ladder is interesting and enjoyable in it's own way. I find WL is stagnant and boring now with only 3 to 4 agents running things there. I can only read so many GG xxx when score is 64 to 10.
Same record we had up there in S83+84, though 84 was in decline. Made the playoffs, but we weren't going to waste the spot in double decline in 85.
Took us awhile to get everyone together to make another run ... since we were trying to fill back up American Muscle AND Midnight Marauders, but eventually we just had to accept there weren't enough agents to go around, and condensed down to one team.
