Jay: Good afternoon and thank you for joining me. Tell us a bit about yourselves.
Makaw: Just a middle aged gun teacher from Northern Ontario, Canada. Trying to convince Bort to implement CFL rules. 3 downs baby! (he might be a gym teacher and auto correct got him but I didn't ask because I like the idea of him teaching people to shoot)
Ryancane26: I started in season 1 though I took about a 3 year break between s50 & s70. I had some success the first go around but nothing like the last few seasons. In real life, I run an insurance agency in central Florida with about 15 employees and in my free time I enjoy traveling, watching sports and attending live events.
Jay: Makaw, In what season did you purchase your team and how did you decide on the name?
Makaw: The first version of the Ransom was established around season 4, maybe 5. Played for many years then took a break. Came back in season 71 due to COVID boredom and after 20+ seasons, and many resets (as people like to point out) we finally landed in Pro.
Jay: Ryan, how did you get involved with the Phrenzy?
Ryancane26: The Phrenzy were originally a farm team for my WL teams. Once they were approaching plateau I decided to keep the team going to give Casual Pro a try.
Jay: Ryan, I don't follow World League at all but I hear you have been dominating it. Have you had a team or coordinated for one in Casual pro before?
Ryancane26: I have not. The lack of control has made me hesitate but it is an idea I have flirted with for a while. The stars kind of aligned where some good dot builders were able to lend me their guys for a season in Reg Pro to get us to the big show and now we are going to go at it with some veteran guys from my WL teams.
Jay: Makaw, Is this your first time in Casual Pro and how do you think your team will do this season?
Makaw: Pro League rookie. I'm not expecting much in our first season just hoping to make the playoffs.
Jay: All right, it is time for your preseason championship predictions. Who do you have?
Makaw: No clue, I don't know these teams.
Ryancane26: Despite being beat in the playoffs last season you still have to consider Steel City & Charlestown the class of the league and Steel City has been on a roll lately so I'd have to go with them.
Jay: Anything to add before we go?
Makaw: Just that I'm glad this game is still going.
